We had a wonderful few nights at the Amber Tree Lodge in Cape Town. The hostel was very friendly, secure and it had a cool common area to hang in out in and have breakfast. It also has a balcony on the second floor where you can just gaze at Table Mountain.. the staff were very helpful and arranged car hire for us and tours to the wineries. I can't really fault them and would stay there again..

Great Great place and the staff did absolutely every thing they could for you. Wayne had me abseiling off table mountain 2 hrs after I arrived I didn't have to lift a finger to organise anything. Nothing was trouble for them. Breakfast is simple but is enough and included which many other hostels in South Africa don't do. The kitchen has facilities and the bathrooms excellent. When I return to the continent to complete all the places I missed out on I will return here for sure! GREAT STAY!

The guys were well-organized, attentive, pleasant and friendly. They gave us a tour upon arrival and explained about the hostel. Impeccably clean. Quiet. The hostel is just off Long Street. It is possible to walk to the waterfront, Company Gardens, train station and bus stop to Table Mountain. I would definitely stay there again and I will recommend it to our friends and family. Cape Town capture your soul with it's character!

The staff is extremely helpful in helping you book activities, map out a drive to Cape Point, or even fix your flat tire. The hostel is a community, and everyone is friendly and accommodating.

My stay at Amber Tree Lodge was amazing :) I really couldn't have asked for better. The staff was thoroughly helpful on so many levels. The location was very convenient and I never had to think about safety much. The facilities were clean though my room (6 bed shared) was a little cramped but totally fine. There was ample storage space for each traveller in the rooms as well. Loved the lounge as it really encouraged interaction with everybody so it was so easy to meet and greet people.

Real homely feel to the place. The location was spot on for our needs, walking distance to the City and stunning view onto the mountain from the balcony. Myself and four brother stayed in one of the dorms as we attended the Cape Town Higher Life World Conference with Pastor Chris at the new football stadium at Green Point. Did they know that the stadium was built for this event and not the World Cup Football? The beds are spacious, showers great and the kitchen homely with lots of character.

I must say that everything was great at the Amber tree Lodge. People in charge are really great and make things easy for you. They are very well organized and I felt relaxed and enjoyed a lot my stay. Thanks Stephen and his staff for being such wonderful host and help me in enjoying the two days I spent there. For sure I must return some day. Iva
