Good B&B - very clean and very helpful staff, but like so many other B&Bs these days the breakfast was poor - cheapest ingredients possible used and not very tasty. It's a shame because Amberley has everything else going for it.

Really good accomodation; we have been received a warm welcome and all staff of hotel is been always really kind and helpfull to give all best informations for discovery of Dublin. The room was clean and homely; hotel position is strategic for tour of the city. We felt like at home: a special thank to Silvia for her kindness.

We had an excellent visit to Dublin starting with a guy called mar from www.ecotaxisdublin.com who was more like a tour guide with his local knowledge, and tips on events etc. The staff at Amberley Hse were also very helpful and friendly breakfast was ok but not full irish no black or white puddings or potato cake, but it filled a gap, plenty of info in reception for days out etc

Do avoid this place. WIFI was down, promised to be repaired, but remained down for 4 days, and no lobby. Only place to consult your mail is sitting in a small corridor where the reception is, no lobby, all common area's freezing cold. Don't take breakfast at 8. they just start a little electric heater at that time. .The whole management is still 60'-ies 70-ies style

This hostel was in an area of Dublin called the "Cheap and Cheerful" district (told to us by a taxi driver). It certainly was cheerful and the place had an excellent, friendly staff, great Irish breakfasts, wifi in the lobby, pretty big rooms, and clean and working facilities. It was also about a 5 minute walk from the giant spire in the middle of Dublin so a great location. I was very satisfied with everything about this visit, from the price to the rooms.
