The stay was great! We enjoyed it very much. The walk to all the sites isn't bad because you many things on the way. THE AMERICAN DREAM HOSTEL has an excellent location, MR Lou Barreto is a very nice person, LIKE ALL OF YOUR STAFF. THE SMALL BUT VERY CLEAN TOILETS AND BREAKFAST IS GOOD. THE GUEST IS CHEAP but comfortable enough. I lost my connection flight to NYC and arrived to the hostel after midnight (I was supposed to do that at 7 pm), but even so, Mr Barreto helped me and my friend to get a room and a warm place to stay. He was great and the rest of the people in the hostel too. I extremely recommend it... the ubication is superb!!! Make people paying 100$ for a double for a room in that hostel is a joke. They should ask 10$. 1 toilet and 1 bath tab for an entire floor with more than 20 rooms!And the toilet and the bathroom were like that of a boat: 1m x 1m large! The room was a kind of furnace 2x1 large.The first day I woke up in the night with some problem of breathing because of the hot air. The security is ridiculous. We really enjoyed our stay at the American Dream Hostel. It was clean, the breakfast was brilliant and there was a real community atmosphere. The rooms were small but adequate. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hostel was quiet and everyone respected that you had to wash up your breakfast dishes after using it. For New York, this hostel has very clean bathrooms and bedrooms. It has a very quiet and central lay. Staff was very friendly and helpfull.
