This was my second stay at American Dream and it remains my favorite hostel. It is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. The other guests are always friendly and interesting and fortunately (for me) this place isn't a "party hostel". Travelers stay here and chat and hang out. The included breakfast is substantial. Staff are friendly. The female dorm room is bright, spacious, and very clean.

Nice and clean hostel, they have breakfast: bread, jam, nutella, cereal, cake, fruit, waffles, juice, coffee, water. Big fridge where you can store your own food and drinks.

Great hostel, nicely decorated. Great kitchen, provides breakfast food and drinks. The room was a bit small but very clean. Best hostel I've stayed in.

Our stay was quite good. The hostel is nice and clean and ok kitchen. Don't expect to sleep any longer than around 9-10 if you have a late night, you will either be woken up by the radiators or the vacuumcleaning in the hallway. Apart from that I nice place :)

Very nice place in a good location, very clean, good facilities. Overall we were very happy to have stayed there and would recommend it to others. The wifi didn't really work upstairs, the bed was too small even for small people and the breakfast could use some savoury items - but these are only minor complaints.

Our stay here was fantastic! The staff was extremely friendly and on top of things. Everything was very clean and the breakfast provided was more than satisfactory. This hostel has a lot of character and has a lot of modern industrial charm in it's decoration and layout.

This hostel is really more of a bed and breakfast with dorm rooms... The awning outside the door actually says bed and breakfast. The facilities were good- Kitchen, computer/common room, the rooms were clean and there was plenty of room in the 4 person room I stayed in. With the exception of the owner of the hostel, the staff was not involved in the hostel environment. I wish this place had more of a community atmosphere- not a good place to meet other travelers. 3-4 blocks from subway

Very good hostel, good location, security and the staff is friendly and helpful. Just the water temperature is difficult to regulate in showers (just a detail).

It was nice, very clean and private, excellent location, not a lot of interaction, didn't see no place to meet people other than kitchen which is really small and people is there only during breakfast time, I asked the girl in front to recommend good restaurants or bars nearby but she didn't know and only pointed us to the information board on the entrance. They were nice but weren't really helpful. I'd go again.

Everything was really good about this place. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms (somewhat small). The location was pretty good being somewhat in the middle of everything. I thought it was somewhat overprised for what you get but I suppose that's New York.

A lovely hostel with a great breakfast - fresh waffles, fruits, cereals, toast! Really enjoyed our time here, just be warned there's no elevator if you're traveling with lots of luggage.

Good hostel. Excelent location, awesome breakfast. Good staff. The triple room was clean, spacious and had a tv(great)! The bed was very comfortable, but quite noisy. The heater was a little too warm, but ok. It was really hard to adjust the temperature of the shower (but the water pressure was very good). Great to have a sink inside the room. Wi-fi did not work at the bedroom.

The staff was very nice and helpful, the building was quite secure and was a pleasant stay. The beds were actually quite comfortable which is not typical for a Hostel. Breakfast had a wide variety of options and the kitchen was well stocked for basic things (lack of oven/stove is unfortunate if you would want to prepare your own food). Free wifi throughout the hostel was nice although sometimes it was a little slow and cut out. Showers were okay but not great. Overall strong recommend!

I loved this hostel. If you want to see the city and meet people but not be in a crazy dorm room or partying all night, this hostel is perfect. It was extremely clean, conveniently located, the staff were helpful, and the rooms were much bigger and nicer than I expected. I was booked into a four bed dorm but was upgraded to a private room which was so nice. The breakfast was great.. If you are wanting a super social hostel with pub crawls etc this isn't it but perfect for older travellers.
