American Dream Hostel Reviews

I was so impressed with the American Dream Hostel. The location was fantastic, the staff were always friendly and helpful and I had the opportunity to meet some wonderful people who I enjoyed my time in New York with. I stayed between the 26th Jan & the 6th Feb '13 - so an incredibly cold time in NYC and I always felt warm & cosy there. The breakfast provided is above standard and that combined with the clean, fresh rooms was fantastic value for money. Will definitely stay there again.

The hostel is well located, 2 blocks from the 23rd St Metro station. Atmosphere is more like a bed and breakfast, very clean and calm. It is very clean, kitchen well equiped, staff polite but there was almost no one around, during the days I stayed. I believe it has to do with the price, which is a little high for a hostel. There is a room with PC and tables for people to meet. It was a great place to stay. Rooms have lockers to be locked with lockpad. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic breakfast and staff

Unfortunately the WiFi was out, and they didn't notify in advance or even on check in. Also staff were very standoff ish and kept to themselves, which detracted from the atmosphere. The facilities were good quality and the hostel is well located and very clean and tidy.

A nice comfortable room. We'd paid for a shared room and ended up in a private. The hostel staff were incredibly friendly and only a few minutes walk from the "Green" metro station, which takes you to many of the tourist areas.

I like here. because this hostel is really cheap and location is also good. this offer brakefast too. you can go to downtown very easy.

Good deal for New York and awesome place and breakfast !
