The atmosphere and service in this hotel are second-to-none. Perhaps the best B&B I've ever seen.

American Guest House is a charming place to stay in Washington. Walking through the door is like entering another world, and was truly a home away from home. The breakfasts were excellent, other refreshments available free all day, and the staff were delightful. Highly recommend this accommodation.

We *loved* American Guest House BnB for so many reasons. The house has loads of character, the bed was comfortable, the room clean and well ventilated and the location very good. Our host however, was the most outstanding of all, making us feel like we were the most important people in the room from the moment we woke up, until we left (very regretfully) at the end of our stay. We will always stay here when we visit DC again and we recommend you do too.
