Terrible terrible hostel. Will put you in an room with more people than the one you paid for, without offering you to change room or reimburse the difference and without apologizing one bit. Very loud at night, I'm not even sure the basic safety measures are taken considering how much they pack the rooms with the more people they can. 10E deposit for the key that's not written anywhere when you book. Avoid at all costs.

Yhe bathrooms were dirty. On bathroom for many people. It was too far the center

The staff were really nice, and the free maps very helpful. The shared bathroom wasn't ideal as you had to wait if people were in it, and the floor wasn't very clean. Very steep steps lead up to the hostel. Location is a 10 minute tram ride from the city centre, which was fine once we figured out how to get there and which stop to go to.

The toilet on the 3rd floor was terrible, it is the most uncomfortable place in Europe.

Loved Amigo and their "dream team". Their new employee Appi was really nice as well! We were able to walk all around Amsterdam because of it's location. The lobby is really cozy where u can drink and meet other people and the showers are AMAZEBALLS. We WILL be back! Love Stina

Location is quite good, near train station and city centre. Accomodation was ok. Bit be careful of the steep staircase.....

There was only one bathroom for more than a dorm! And ours had 10 beds. There was no climatization so it got very uncomfortable. The access to the hostel is hard because the stairs are very steep and theres always people blocking them.

If you like to smoke pot this hostel is for you. Unfortunately we don't and everyone that did smoked on the already narrow steep steps and blocked going up and down out of the hostel. Our room in side smelt so bad from all the smoke coming in. The staff for most part were nice. It's location not so good it's kinda far from everything.

The staff was helpful in giving travelling instructions. Bus, 9 and 3 go directly to the city centre. Accommodation was reasonable but it's frustrating that there are not enough electric sockets and that there was no wifi reception in my 8-bedder room.

Based on the facilities and location, if somebody asked me what this place would grow up to be someday, I would tell them it would be lucky to be a homeless shelter.

The best hostel I've stayed in during my euro trip, sad it was only one night. The best staff I've encountered by far!!! Super nice and friendly. The place is clean, freshly decorated, etc. not in the center of the city but a tram stops pretty much right in front so it's easy! One tram takes you to the central spots and the central train station. Would absolutely stay here again if I was in Amsterdam!

Sorry for the low rating, but this hostel was easily the worst we stayed in on our whole trip. There wasn't really a nice common area - it was crowded and the TV blasted reality shows - and the steps really were as steep and inconvenient as the other reviews suggest. Bathrooms were of varying quality, but certainly too few for too many people. Everything smelled like weed. Very close to tram stop, supermarket, and park, but nothing else. Stay here only if you have to.

Dear Anna, Thank you for the raiting and review. We are a big hostel so it is indeed crowded. We dont want to send people outside because its to crowded. We give our customers the freedom to smoke at the front door and to have a very good time. I am sorry if it was to busy for you. The stairs arre what they are, we have a monumental building. Our staff did helped you with your bags and you got a private room for the same price. You are always welcome to stay with us again in the future.

This is a good hostel, but it is a little too expensive and It's far away from all the main places in the city.

A fair walk outside of town and bathrooms/showers were tiny. However, staff friendliness/helpfulness were excellent! Would definitely recommend staying here.

It is a good hostel. There is a tram stop nearby to get to the city centre. The stairs of the hostel are so dangerous and there were two "old" guys in the room sleeping with us

Not a warm welcoming hostel ie reception and a certain male staff member needs to improve his customer service skills as there is none! And it looked like it would physically hurt him to smile. And the old guy working there was giving guests attitude when closing the bar like they were school kids. But the bar staff were good Rooms were pretty average with bunk beds not even having a ladder but the bathrooms were good so there's a positive! Hostel has potential

It's a small hostel a bit outside the city centre but the location is ok, quiet and near the park and a station. It doesn't have kitchen nor a common area except for the reception, where there are some tables, tv and a fridge to keep your stuff. The room however was very clean, quite big, with lockers and a washing basin. Bathrooms where clean too, but there were just a toilet and a separate shower per floor, thus it can get crowded and you'll have to wait. Ok hostel

Very we'll named hostel. I met so many amazing people here which definitely made my stay in Amsterdam a lot of fun. The room was a pretty decent size and had a nice big window. A little far from the center but definitely worth the 10-15 minute tram ride. Staff was super friendly and helpful with suggestions and figuring out the maps/trams.
