Based on the facilities and location, if somebody asked me what this place would grow up to be someday, I would tell them it would be lucky to be a homeless shelter.

The best hostel I've stayed in during my euro trip, sad it was only one night. The best staff I've encountered by far!!! Super nice and friendly. The place is clean, freshly decorated, etc. not in the center of the city but a tram stops pretty much right in front so it's easy! One tram takes you to the central spots and the central train station. Would absolutely stay here again if I was in Amsterdam!

Sorry for the low rating, but this hostel was easily the worst we stayed in on our whole trip. There wasn't really a nice common area - it was crowded and the TV blasted reality shows - and the steps really were as steep and inconvenient as the other reviews suggest. Bathrooms were of varying quality, but certainly too few for too many people. Everything smelled like weed. Very close to tram stop, supermarket, and park, but nothing else. Stay here only if you have to.

Dear Anna, Thank you for the raiting and review. We are a big hostel so it is indeed crowded. We dont want to send people outside because its to crowded. We give our customers the freedom to smoke at the front door and to have a very good time. I am sorry if it was to busy for you. The stairs arre what they are, we have a monumental building. Our staff did helped you with your bags and you got a private room for the same price. You are always welcome to stay with us again in the future.

This is a good hostel, but it is a little too expensive and It's far away from all the main places in the city.

A fair walk outside of town and bathrooms/showers were tiny. However, staff friendliness/helpfulness were excellent! Would definitely recommend staying here.

It is a good hostel. There is a tram stop nearby to get to the city centre. The stairs of the hostel are so dangerous and there were two "old" guys in the room sleeping with us

Not a warm welcoming hostel ie reception and a certain male staff member needs to improve his customer service skills as there is none! And it looked like it would physically hurt him to smile. And the old guy working there was giving guests attitude when closing the bar like they were school kids. But the bar staff were good Rooms were pretty average with bunk beds not even having a ladder but the bathrooms were good so there's a positive! Hostel has potential

It's a small hostel a bit outside the city centre but the location is ok, quiet and near the park and a station. It doesn't have kitchen nor a common area except for the reception, where there are some tables, tv and a fridge to keep your stuff. The room however was very clean, quite big, with lockers and a washing basin. Bathrooms where clean too, but there were just a toilet and a separate shower per floor, thus it can get crowded and you'll have to wait. Ok hostel

Very we'll named hostel. I met so many amazing people here which definitely made my stay in Amsterdam a lot of fun. The room was a pretty decent size and had a nice big window. A little far from the center but definitely worth the 10-15 minute tram ride. Staff was super friendly and helpful with suggestions and figuring out the maps/trams.

the hostel is very crowded and small (not a lot of bathrooms, showers, ...), but clean. the staff is very friendly and it is easy to meet people. it is easily accessible by tram, but very far away from the center if you want to walk.

I felt safe leaving my things in the locker, and the staff was helpful. Pretty good quality for that price compared to other hostels I'vs stayed at in Amsterdam.

One shower and one toilet per ~15 people wasn't enough, but sinks and mirrors in rooms was a nice touch. The main problem is the hostel is miles out of the city, about a 20-30 minute tram ride! You need to get a tram day pass (€7.50) to be able to see anything. Lots of stairs and a bit of a maze to find your room but staff were helpful and allowed us to check out at 5am.

Dear Rebecca, Thank you for your time to give a comment. I am happy that you liked your stray with us. The tram is not 20-30 minutes away from the centre but 15 minutes. I think you took the wrong tram in to the city. So next time take tram number 9 for the shortest ride to the partyarea. thanks again.

A little far from the center, really good staff, the place to get shower is so small (1m*1m). Nice cheap option.

We booked a 4-bed private room but when we arrived we were told they had overbooked and that we would therefore be sharing a 5-bed room with another person. We we offered a meagre €5 per person off the room price (€40). On top of this, people were smoking in the communal areas which was revolting. Would not recommend this hostel.

Had such a good stay here. The staff are amazing, always really keen to help you out with directions and just general questions. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The stairs are an absolute killer to get up to the hostel but there were people around to help us carry our bags up and down. The facilities arent all that great, there is only 2 bathrooms on the bottom floor so the queue was a bit of a pain. And the only kitchen facilities are a fridge. Other than that a great hostel!
