Positive: reasonably priced rooms, comfortable beds. Breakfast is included. Location is good - just 2 blocks from main square and close to bars, restaurants, etc. Staff were helpful when needed. Negative: toilets could have been cleaner and had no toilet paper. Showers didn't work properly. The kitchen was locked from 6.30pm until 11am everyday and even then there was no proper fridge in which to store perishables. Internet connection was painfully slow at times.

Great hostel heaps of room to sit around, on one evening it was very noisy til 2am. But enjoyed staying here. Bring your own toilet paper, pretty standard in Bolivia.

thi hostel is in a good part of the city near the centre and the staff were quite helpfulk. Bu the kitchen is very basic and the whole please feels like it is underconstruction. It have half finished frooms and pieces of timber all over. I don't know what the other hostels in town are like but I would recommend one of them instead of this place.

Amigo's is not a very nice hostel. Half the hostel is under construction that will never be completed. Staff were'nt friendly and breakfast really simple and stale

Booked a night here for christmas night as much else was booked up. Ended up staying somewhere else after talking with some friends, who had stayed here for a night. The place is big, with small patios on the different floors, but seemed very worn and without atmosphere. The staff was rather unfriendly, so it was not a place you wanted to stay for christmas.

The place is a dump, and the guys at the front desk are incredibly cavalier and unhelpful.

...low price which is nice but really not a great place to stay. strange staff, very noisy in the morning from 7am when they`re preparing the breakfast (semi-hot coffee, dry bread and a tiny bit of marmelade). I`m sure there are much better places to stay!

We stayed here as a group of 9. We now refer to it as hostel no-amigo! All so sad, as it could be awesome. The place needs to be totally renovated - it is a dump. Also the staff need to stop watching TV all the time and actually want to help you. Although their time would actually be better spent cleaning the hostel - which clearly was not done very much. This place will not survive without changes! Hostel Amigo please listen. I only want to help! :-)

Without a doubt, the worst place I stayed at in two and a half months of traveling through South America. Well, where to begin. Terrible, uncaring staff, filthy all over (my private rooms and the bathrooms were a disgrace), infested with rats, marijuana growing in the backyard plants (actually this could be a plus), not to mention an incident where four guests had cash stolen from their rooms. They are not your Amigos; they are your worst enemies. Stay instead at Forastero Guest House.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOSTEL This is by far the worst hostel I have ever encountered! In the 3 days we spent their we had 1500 bolivianos stolen from our private locked room by the staff while we were at breakfast. They tried to reduce our rate so we wouldn´t call the police but we did anyway and they told us this has happened many times and were on their last warning for being shut down. Not only this, but the place was a complete mess and the staff were beyond rude/horrible to deal with.

The staff is so unfriendly and we had bed bugs in Two rooms. The staff do not even understand english through google translate, engslish to spanish. We had bed bugs but they only answered "no you don't". Would never recommend this crappy place to anyone, unless you are planing to spend All night out, not going to sleep at all. Worse hostel ever.

Not a bilingual staff. Couldn't tell us if there was a bed available for anther night, but when we checked out, there were 2 beds available. Really made our morning tough. Loud and cramped rooms.

horribly dirty, mold everywhere, NO TOILET SEATS! avoid it by all means.

I rarely leave commentaries except if the hostel is very good or very bad. In this case it was the second. There were two showers for all the hostel which had the toilets in them as well so you had to wait if you wanted either and once someone had taken shower everything was flooded. You had to get a voucher from reception to have breakfast which wasn't even good. The breakfast staff was unbelievably unfriendly and on the whole the atmosphere was horrible. Only the front receptionists were nice

Not a great hostel. Close to the town centre and had secure lockers, but staff were totally disinterested and some of the rooms join directly onto the common areas which means sleep is difficult.

It was really noise at night at 11plus. the management should get the rowdy people to quieten down. Nothing really good, except the location.
