Hostel had amazing atmosphere and great bar. Very easy to meet people and staff are very helpful/friendly. Hostel isn't in the best location but public transport tickets get you around the city.

Amstel Hostel is a convenient place to stay. The staff is willing to help (and quick!) , the hostel is clean and you will find enough people to hang out with!

The hostel is rather inexpensive, however, I believe it was this way because of the poor location. The Ubahn (U9 Turmstraße) isn't not always operational at night. Closes between 1:30 am and 5am (don't quote me on that its just times I experience problems). So i had to walk really far sometimes just to get to the hostel, or take a cab which was between 20-30 € depending where you were. The location make it difficult to get back at night. There is also buses but they make your travel time longer

Quite far from the city centre! Other than that it's a perfect for a nights stay. Super friendly staff!

no wifi in room is pretty disturbing...

A nice hostel in all, although the necessity of keeping the window open in the summer nights meant all the noise from the courtyard/bar on the first floor (which belongs to the Hostel) was extremely loud. So if you're not so much of a night owl or party person, try for a room facing the street or bring good ear plugs. Otherwise, the facilities were great and it was right next to an U-Bahn stop which made getting to and from the city centre easy.

Staff were friendly towards me so I booked an extra night to stay. Wifi was only available at the lobby so I didn't really like it as I like to use my phone on the bed while surfing net. Overall, my stay was good.

The hostel looks pretty cool, the rooms are good (they look pretty good actually). But not having wifi connection in the bedrooms only brings a lot of people to the reception area (and they are not really interested in interaction, it is actually the first tme i experience that in a hostel). If the idea was to get people to interact (as the little sign, close to the elevator, suggests... it really didnt work. Also the shower could be better (it would work for about 30 seconds)

This is one of the best hostel we've been so far. The atmosphere at night is awesome. Everyone's drink at the bar and the terrace outside. Very easy to meet new people and go out with them in Berlin. It is a very big hostel and I would recommand it. The kitchen was dirty at night thought, no one was cleaning their dishes and you only have wifii in the lobby but that doesn't really matter.

Quite a bit out of the city so you need to take the Metro everywhere, but other than that it is a really nice spot. So convenient that they have a 24 hour bar!

It was wicked, the only thing is that it gets really hot in the rooms esspescialy the 4th floor,

it is a realy huge hostel so plenty people around, there is a nice bar that gives between 5pm and 8pm 50% discount, the rooms are okay, some of the staff unfortunately are very unhelpful. A decent location plus good shower but definitely the hostel itself lacks a bit of character.

Very nice hostel, good atmosphere, really easy to meet people. Downside is that it is about a 30 minute metro from city center and from clubs.

Great hostel, very clean and well later out. It's a little bit outside the main centre of Berlin but it's very easy to catch the subway into town. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We were in a private 4 bed which was two small rooms with a large room in between with a table and chairs which was really nice! Great common room with a bar downstairs with plenty of space to relax and meet other travellers.

Very clean and organized with helpful staff. Short distance to monuments and the central train station. Would highly recommend this hostel.

Location is away from attractions and party area. Although the ubahn station is close by. Staff were extremely rude! Except our walking tour guide, I forgot his name, he is from chile. Very nice guy!
