Amstel House Hostel Reviews

Had a great stay at Amstel House. Cheap beer from 18:00 - 20:00 (1.50 Euro) The rooms are clean and cleaned daily. Common room is large, and it is easy to get to all the sight seeing areas. Plus there is an amazing park a short walk away. Free Wifi works well, and they have three computers to use. Because of the size of the hostel there was two or three school groups there.

One of my favorite hostels during the 19-day Europe trip. Everything about the place was perfect; clean, neat, friendly, etc. If you are staying in Berlin I definitely recommend this hostel.

The hostel overall was amazing. It has five stories, tons of rooms, really cool people staying there. One staff member, Froderico, was extremely rude on several occasions. Also the WiFi sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. By and large however, I'd recommend the hostel.

good hostel, close to city centre. rooms are nice and spacious and if your room is on the first floor you get wi-fi which is good. only downside is, it gets really cold at night in the rooms.

Very nice hostel but didn't like that people where smoking in the bar, because the smoke from the sigaretts made it's way all around the ground floor !!

I recommend this hostel to everybody who wants to stay in Berlin. The value for Money was really good and it was clean, not noisy and there is Internet, so what else can you ask for =)

Very nice and warm atmosphere!

Good hostel. Spacious, clean and friendly staff. Only complaints are that the location isn't that central and most of the time there were huge groups of highschool students staying there, seemingly unsupervised students so if you are not into being surrounded by drunk 13 year olds you might want to pass.

This hostel was great, clean, comfortable, a whole lot of fun, really easy to meet other travelers up for a good time, super friendly staff etc. 5 euro for breakfast is a bit steep considering how cheap food is in the area, so just eat out. The only con is really the location, and the Berlin subway is not easy to get your head around. Next time I would stay somewhere else because of this (east Berlin is where the party is), but the hostel in itself is pretty faultless.

The hostel was really cool, only one thing which come to my mind is that heating was not efficient and both the room as well as bathroom was cold. This is just a minor problem. Hostel service were good, we like the bar in the lobby with wide offer of beverages as free Wi-Fi there.

it is cheap, but the location is a little far away from city center. no towl, no shampoo:(

The rooms were clean, along with the bathrooms. Its a bit of a walk or a bus ride to get to anywhere good. I found the day staff were particularly unaccommodating. My sister and I wanted to know where to find cheap food or good food around the hostel and we did not get an answer. We also asked about the tours advertised in the lobby and asked about what certain transportation was and got a rude, unhelpful response in return. Overall, not a very pleasant experiencer

Overall, it was a decent hostel, and it seemed like a good place to party - there always seemed to be people hanging out in the bar area partying, but luckily once you made it up to the rooms you couldn't hear the music anymore. The staff was not very helpful, with the exception of one guy that usually worked during the night who was very nice.

I thought the people that worked there were super cool. For the price it was excellent. Wish it was a bit closer to downtown area. Overall, it was great.

Loved the atmosphere and proximity to a lot of the landmarks we came to photograph.

Hey guys! That place is perfect to stay/ Strongly rocommended! Nice staff, 24 hours bar and easy access to any part of Berlin. And of course Moabit neighborhood is pretty cool!
