Everything was pretty good. No breakfast included. Unfortunately, no wifi in the rooms. That's not nice.

Staffs are all very friendly and helpful. Great value-for-money, definitely recommend this hostel.

Great place!!! Super great location!! Great first time in Berlin!!

Decent hostel, friendly staff, nice rooms

staff was super cool. stayed there for one night. place was crowded by school students,I guess they were on a school trip. WiFi available only at reception area.

Good enough for the price. We couldn't findfind enough power sockets, so, that was a bit of a problem.

We were hoping to find that this hostel would be full of young party goers but we're disappointed to find that there was a large school group there!

It takes around 6 mins by walk from the nearest public transport. It's a huge hostel so comes with not so personal interaction from the staff. No mobile charging points for those on upper bunk bed. Otherwise good clean rooms, good breakfast for additional 5€.

Amstel Hostel is within a 10 min walk to the nearest U-Bahn (metro) station. Our bedroom was great, located at 109 above the lobby we were still abel to reach the wifi, which seemed to be a big complaint from guests (normally wifi is just in the common areas on the floor of the lobby). The room was also very clean, plenty of showers (and close to the bedroom), beds weren't squeaky, and there's bikes to rent (recommended). However, the staff was quiet slow, and location wasn't very desirable.

We've stayed in two other hostels (London and Amsterdam) during our trip and the Amstel House was definitely the best one! The room was quite big, there were chairs and a table, a sink and even lamps by each bed. The shared bathroom and toilet were always clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the overall atmosphere was great. The location was quite ok, very close to the metro station, 5 mins max. I would definitely recommend booking your stay! Not to forget, the price good too!

Connection is very bad, slow and not working... No WiFi on rooms and elevator is very slow

The room was very simple: no wifi, too few power outlets and the reading lights basically lit the whole room. The bunk beds were very squeaky and rickety. I found the bathroom facilities could be cleaned more often. This is a large hostel and not the best for socialising as a single traveller, but the bar area was good to hang out in. The kitchen was really excellent for a hostel: well-equipped and good size.

Great hostel, with extremely fun staff and a great bar. The rooms and beds were good too, with lockers big enough to keep most of your stuff in. Only real downsides are the location is pretty far from all the action, but if you get the hang of public transport it's manageable. Wifi only available in common areas which is fine, except for when it's really busy down there. If too many people are on the network it basically doesn't work. Otherwise great hostel! Good price. Good people.

Decent hostel, comfy bed and quiet rooms. breakfast was good and happy hour at the bar is awesome. only complaint is location, it is in a really sketchy area and i was not comfortable leaving the hostel after dark since i was by myself, travel in groups

Not an overly "happening" hostel. Room was great and very clean, and an awesome kitchen!! Word of advice, make sure you validate your transport ticket with a stamp (often found near the ticket booth) once purchased otherwise you may cop a fine.

The hostel itself was clean and the staff were relatively friendly. However there were some problems such as no heating or wifi in the rooms. Wifi was only available in the common room. It was annoying having to back and forth between my room and downstairs every time I wanted to access the Internet. Also the €5 all you can eat breakfast buffet was disappointing, was only really cereal and some fruits.

Very good hostel! Clean, cosy and friendly staff. Would stay here Again. The connection to U-Bahn and S-Bahn is not the best, you will have to change a few times. But its not far, so that makes up for it. Wifi only in the lobby though! Good breakfast

Good bar, kitchen and breakfast (though not included in the room price). Clean room and bathrooms. Location a little out of the centre, possible to walk to some big sites but you will need to use the Bahn at some stage.

Bathroom dirty a lot of hairs

Surprisingly large hostel with a great atmosphere! Wifi doesn't work in rooms but the rooms themselves were clean and tidy :)
