The location is good, just away from metro station for 5-10 mins walk. The room is very neat and tidy. But the wifi connection is only available in the lobby and u need to re-log in for every 30 minutes...

The Amstel was a cool place with a relaxed vibe during the day and a sweet pub vibe in the night. The rooms were suitable and really good value for money. The daily all you can et BBQ for 7£ was awesome as we're the cheap beers! The people running the show were helpful and funny and it's close to the metro where a short trip got you into the city centre. All up a excellent hostel!

Cheap hostel with good rooms. Bathrooms could be cleaner, but that also falls on the other people that will be staying there. Hostel is about a 30-45 minute walk from Berlin's city center so be prepared for a long trek to get into the city. Wifi is only available in the lobby so if that's a bother than you may want to look elsewhere. Overall a good hostel with cheap prices that works well for a few nights' stay.

Maybe I hit it at a bad time but this place was packed with teenagers. Absolutely no redeeming features as far as character, except for one of the staff looking like a hipster lumberjack. The room was cramped and dark and the bathrooms were clean but dingy. Not a great location, I would not stay there again despite its being so cheap.

Although the hostel itself seemed well run and quite nice in all other respects, the other guests ruined the experience for me. Thank goodness we were only staying one night, because the place was packed with a giant troupe of rowdy high school tourists; I feel asleep to the sound of teenagers who don't know how to be quiet and someone being miserably sick into the toilet next door.

Staff quite unfriendly (one of the guy at the bar was even a bit pretentious...), and the hostel is very bad located if you want o go out or visit (access by Sbahn and/or Ubahn is quite complicated. the connection are very bad, because the lines deserving the stop next to the hostel have very bad connections with the other lines) I will definitly not chose that hostel the next time I'll go to Berlin, for sure...

This hostel was great ! The nearest metro station was kind of hard to get to from other stops, but still, navigating Berlin was very straightforward. I would absolutely stay here again!

I have been staying at Amstel House since 9 years and I have mixed feelings about the hostel. Pros: Amazingly, spotlessly clean. Central location close to Tegel Airport. Many supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Great bus connections to the city and Alexanderplatz. Amazing value for money. Cons: Its really LOUD and I mean LOUD. Unfortunately, Amstel House accepts mostly large groups that generally make a lot of noise, running in the corridors, getting drunk and then shouting loudly.

Very kind staff, rooms clean, showers, restrooms in good conditions. Elevator a little bit too relaxed. Underground ( Metro 5 - 10 minutes walk ) but it`s ok for me. 3 Computers in the Lobby with Internet 4free. Bar opened 24h.

Because the roomes are very bad. We order a twin room, witch in most countrys mean you get a twin bed, but we got bunk beds. The roomes look like prison cells, but the personal was thankfully very sweet.

Our stay at the hostel was amazing. The prices were great and all of the staff was extremely friendly. They were always able to help us with any questions we had and we willing to go out of their way to show that customer satisfaction is important. I would definitely recommend this hostel to everyone!

Directions to the hostel were accurate, staff were super helpful, located near the transit so getting around Berlin was the easiest thing I have done since I have been in Europe. The Hostel was clean, organized, and a good atmosphere, I would absolutley recommend Amstel House Hostel to anyone.

Moabit is not too close to any of the cool stuff or sightseeing stuff. However, we wanted a quite, good place to stay and that is what we got, so that was allright. Also a U-Bahn station is right around the corner. We had booked a double room with shared bathroom and in the end we even had our own bathroom in the room. The room may have been a bit small but well worth the money. It was very cheap and very clean so it had all we needed.

Had a great stay at Amstel House. Cheap beer from 18:00 - 20:00 (1.50 Euro) The rooms are clean and cleaned daily. Common room is large, and it is easy to get to all the sight seeing areas. Plus there is an amazing park a short walk away. Free Wifi works well, and they have three computers to use. Because of the size of the hostel there was two or three school groups there.
