Good location. Relief when the staff helped me with my bags. Maybe check the water pressure in the showers and sometimes the tap in the room would run hot water´not so nice for drinking. Loved Simba

Such a friendly environment, would not hesitate to stay here again. Staff (and Simba) are lovely, the building has a lot of character to it with the steep winding stairs, and the location is ideal. Not to mention the coffee shop directly opposite!

the room needs to have something to hang our things on the wall. and some staffs are a little bit rude. but the location is excellent. and I had a good time staying there.

It was an ok place, not much in terms of meeting people as the chill area is just a couple of seats next to reception. This place is pretty much good for a bed, but if you plan on being able to spend time at your hostel, you'd probably be better finding somewhere else. I wouldn't say it's a bad hostel, but it's not fun.

staff was very friendly and accommodating. really can't beat the location. my only complaint is that there isnt much of a common space, so its hard to meet the people that arent in your room. but i still had a great time.

Great hostel, very friendly and helpful staff on arrival - not so much on the night shift though. Would definately go back if I needed a bed for a night

our stay in cosmos hostel was ok, the only point was that our room was just near the reception so it was quite noisy sometimes and particularly the first night (we couldnt sleep). otherwise the staff is nice and it is clean!

Grotty sink and only one ripped chair in the room so only one person could sit down. Nowhere to hang coats, as it was raining outside this was a problem as we had to put wet coats on the floor. The room was quite shabby and could do with a lick of paint at the very least.

Fantastic location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issues were that sometimes the wireless internet was a little dodgy and that there isn't really a proper common room. Otherwise a great hostel!

The hostel was ok. It was cosy and had a great location. At first I was scared because it was in small alley, but there was actually nothing scary about it. The staff does its best to keep it clean all day long, but sometimes you are unfortunate to use the bathroom after someone not-so-clean... I was lucky to share a room with people who were very quiet. There were small lockers in the room for rent and you had to say your name each time entering the hostel, no individual keys though.

the hostel is cheap, the staff is friendly. no breakfast is served, only coffee (or tea i guess). the bathroom is located outside each room. i think the hostel was quite Okay considering i only paid 16 euros for a night stay. the stairs leading to upstair is so steep and narrow, which is typical of amsterdam hostel so you can't complaint so much about it. locker room provided in each room is too small you cant keep your backpack or luggage inside. good location. near niewendijk.

good beds but small rooms and not much common space well located you can walk to all major attractions and train station no kitchen either all in all not bad.

I've stayed there before in a different room and found some rooms more noisy than others in the very early morning because of noise from the streets.

The cosmos hostel was really bad .the staff was friendly.but the rooms,toilet and bath room were terrible. The toilet and bath are outside of room.we already knew it but they are next to reseption place and so Small and there is no lavabo for cleaning hands and also bath is so bad the water never be warm,If you wait ten minutes maybe you can have a bath .so thats all i dont recommed anyone the hostel.

I had a great stay!! It was comfortable and pleasant on all fronts. Loved my morning coffee and chats with staff, convenient location to hot spots, very clean. Would definitely stay there again.

the hostel is very nice, we stayed in a double room with shared bathroom and it was very clean always, the location is excellent, restaurants, shops, coffee shops. The only bad thing (and really bad for me) it was the bed, the bed is the only thing you need to rest only for a little time and the mattress was extremely uncomfortable!!!! you can feel the springs bed so badly.. my ribs still hurt :s

Very clean hostel and comfortable beds. Well positioned in the city. Stairs are steep but not a problem. Shower was good but only 1 on each level so you may queue. Lockers in room but everything was safe as there was good people in the room.
