because of the location, the hostel is pretty cramped, so there isnt much space to just relax. you couldnt meet people in other rooms, and when you do meet them in the hallway, you were told by the staff that people are sleeping and you´re being too noisy. also, the free breakfast is just coffee and tea, and this is pretty poor effort. the computer didnt work sometimes because the coin machine had ´too much money in it´, which is rediculous! overall, not value for money...

Not bad but could use some work. It was very expensive for a hostel that doesn't offer good amenities.

We could have gone to a proper hotel for the price we paid. Room was very tiny, no way to open the window. A kettle was provided to make some coffee/tea but we couldn't get a socket. We had to leave our keys when going out and ask the guy sleeping on the couch to give them back once we were coming back from th club. No breakfast in the morning, just a coffee or tea. In short, that was the 5th time I'm Amsterdam and the worst hostel we booked for that price.

Nice youth hostel. Friendly hosts, great emplacement. I liked the cat Simba. I did not like the beds making noises of an old door

Good hostel for Amsterdam. In the center but really quite. Small. Quite - best word to characterize that place. And it is good to stay for a night in noisy and party Amsterdam

We stayed in the Cosmos hotel during the Easter weekend, paid around 115EUR per night for a private double bedroom. First, when we just arrived in the room it was freezing cold, then after insisting several times we got the heater on in our room. The walls are very thin thus it was possible to hear everything what's going around. There is no common area, no breakfast included and the Internet connection didn't work as well. The bicycles they offered for a rent were expensive.

it was one of the worst experiences i have had... In Eastern, 130 euro per night for a twin room, consisted on two tiny beds, one at the top of the other, with no bathroom, no breakfast, non space even for luggage... It was so noisy and so bright that it was almost not possible to get asleep for longer than a couple of hours... That´ s the price for a 5 stars hotel... And no good atmosphere at all!! Please never pay to go to this hotel, even though the good location... There are better options!

Very centrally located, convenient. Steep stairs, but staff is happy to help carrying luggage. They offer coffee (good enough), but a kitchen would be welcome. More bathrooms and toilet would be good, but the truth is that Idid not have to wait, maybe I went early, when most of the guests would still be sleeping. The lockers are OK; size is small but enough for a laptop and some more things; rent is 1 euro/day. They have a computer in the small lobby which is fast and new enough, useful.

It seemed the staff was a bit hit or miss, courteous but only one was really friendly. I think the overall experience would be greatly affected by who you end up sharing a room with.

Excellent staff, very helpful & friendly. The hostel is very small and you have to sometimes squeeze past someone else to get to where you're going, but the hostel is very clean and everyone's really friendly. They provide free coffee & tea in the morning which is nice, and they have an awesome cat called Simba. :)

The only drawback was that it was a bit noisy - you either live near the staircase where everyone walks or near the cupboard with supplies which is noisily opened and closed the whole time)) But if a bit of noise isn't an issue for you - this hostel's great!

Turn one room into something like a livingroom where you can hang around. That would be awesome

Really nice staff and a convenient location to Amsterdam Centraal, if you'll be needing the station a lot. Bedding and bathrooms were really clean, so thanks for that!

We stayed two nights in this hostel and it was pretty good. The location is excellent (close to the centre), the staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms and the toilets were clean in general. The only problem is that the hostel does not have any bar or "entertainment facilities' but we were mostly out so it didn't matter for us. So it is great if you just need a hostel for sleeping over . It was also worth the price. An inclusive breakfast would be nice though :)
