Nice hostel, good location in San Francisco. Each dorm has his own bathroom.

Für ein paar Nächte in Ordnung. Keine Sachen im Gepäckraum aufbewahren, ist nicht sicher. Staff an der Rezeption ist teilweise unfähig. Alles in allem aber in Ordnung für 25 Dollars a night.

We were quite disappointed about the treatment that we received at the Amsterdam Hostel. In three days we had to change three rooms. A private room had broken shower and the heater warming the room as a greenhouse. Then we had to move on a 6-bed room whereas we were supposed to be on a 4-bed one. For all these inconveniences any excuse or refunding came spontaneously from the hostel.

Good Service, safe and clean place. Your front desk staff should stop talking on the phone for hours and pay more attention to your customers though.

Even though I was placed in a room of six with 5 boys, myself a girl, the atmosphere and facilities were amazing! Great hostel to experience San Francisco from.

They made me change rooms half way in my stay and made me keep my items in the storage room. However it was so full that the door was jammed open and four people had items stolen. My jacket and another guys backpack was stolen. Also the ignorant Spanish cleaning lady came into my room at about 11:30 am I was sick in bed and coughing so she hear me. She walked in to my room bathroom and pissed without closing the door and talked on the phone before she started cleaning unprofessional,DISGUSTING

The hostel workers do not speak english very well and the feedback and explanation of the procedures are poor.

Very clean you can hear and see cleaning ladies all day.

A bit disorganized at the front desk

Not a very engaging hostel, but provides the essentials along with other additional facilities. Common area consist of kitchen, tv room, and computer desks in the basement. Staff weren\'t the most cordial, but professional. The price at the time I stayed was the most enticing feature of the hostel. Overall, a good stay for a short 24 hour rest.

loved this place, we would definetly recommend it to anyone! i was more concerned about cleanliness/safeness/location type things.. the room was cleaned everyday.. they offer free pancakes every morning but i think the pans are all messed up cuz they always smelled burnt.. (i never made any) but the burnt pancakes and lack of character didnt ruin the experience. great location, helpful staff and great value for the money. 7 stars & B+ :)

The location is fantastic! Staff were really helpful. It's an awesome hostel if your just wanting a place to sleep, and if you want to party you're a hop, skip and a jump to all the nightlife. All in all, great value for your money!

The where cockroach in the Kitchen, next to the pancake mix, I was so scared that some of them will fall in it... The dishes were disgusting.The staff is everything but helpful!They are are barely minding you and I really had the feeling I was bothering the girl just by talking to her!!! Insane. The rooms are really clean and spacious, our bathroom was just beautiful with everything we needed. So all in all I would say it wasn't so bad but I won't come back!!

If you come to San Francisco, you definitely have to stay in this hostel. Good atmosphere, good price and free breakfast in the morning.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING PLACE!! DO NOT STAY HERE!! 100 metres down the rd is ADELAIDE HOSTEL! better invironment! better rooms! just as cheap! no problems there! AMSTERDAM HOSTEL is a complete joke! hair and pubes and rubbish througout our supposedly 'cleaned' room which we had to wait 4 hrs to get into! would literally not let my animals stay here!tried to get money back from reception as soon as we saw the room and they refused. this must b how they make there money! left as soon as we woke.MOVE

This hostel was in a decent location. Staff were average and the facilities were reasonable. Didn't like the radiators being on all the time when it was already warm. The bunk beds are also pretty dangerous. They don't have a ladder or a rail to prevent any unwanted falls. If your not very athletic this is not the pl,ace for you. Its situated very close to union squre and a cable car ride to fishermans wharf which is great fun.
