I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here as the staff were very friendly and recommended places for us to visit. The location is only 5 minutes from the centre of Amsterdam yet far enough out so that you can still get a decent nights sleep.

Amazing owners. very kind and helpful. The place is spotless. The only weak points i can think of is the size of the rooms (but that is known in advance so no problem at all, it's even nice at times to have such a cozy room), and that noise can come through the walls for they are pretty thin. but overall, a very very positive experience.

Recommended purely for the fact that it's a BOAT. Seriously though, top staff, decent beds and showers. Anyone who moans about the size of the rooms is a fool. Again, it's a BOAT.

We had a lovely stay in this boat with a very charming and helpful crew aboard. Breakfast was always simple but good. Unfortunately they had overbooked the boat and we got moved to a more "private" room at the front of the boat. Beds are very small, they are single beds as bunks, not double beds! We loved Amsterdam and the location is unbeatable.

What a fab place to stay... Easy on the pocket but big on character, service & friendliness!!! Being on my own I felt safe, secure & more than welcome!!! It's compact, cosy & everything you need for a short stay in a wonderful city!!! No hesitation in highly recomending the hotel boat.

It is just an amazing place all round! The location is perfect as it is 10 minutes walking distance from both the Central station as well as the party center of Amsterdam. The captain and his wife are extremely welcomeing and hospitable. They will surely make your stay on the boat one to remember even if you will most probably be discovering all the magic that the city of amsterdam has to offer. I will clearly being staying there again next year.

The rooms were indeed a bit small, but the charm and novelty of staying on a hotelboat over the weekend was well worth the money. The owners were extremely helpful and pleasant as well, as well as the breakfast each morning!

Very nice boat in a good location. The couple running the boat are wonderfully friendly. Our room was extremely small, but it was only one night so it was bearable.

Place is great. Only missing wireless internet (although not everyone needs it).

The Hotelboat is very comfortable and the staff is friendly. There is a beautiful dining area for enjoying a delicious breakfast in the morning and relaxing with a Dutch brew in the evening -- and fresh flowers on the table!

I loved this boat! Very friendly owners, great breakfast, very clean and walking distance to everything! :) As a female on my own I felt very safe.

You're living on a boat in Amsterdam, what more can you ask for? It's extremely well located, a ten minute walk from the Central Station, and good for families who would like to stay away from the Red Light. If you would like to go to the Red Light, this place is also good as it is also 10-15 minutes away. Its far away enough to not have to see it and close enough if you want to.

The staff is very friendly and helpful! The location is fantastic! The facilities are very clean! We’d stay again!

WC very clean Breakfast should have fruit and, most important, hot milk!!! The ladie should be nicer, we are young people but we appreciate to be well treated, just like we treat them with respect. Since it had no kitchen, they should have some bowls and spoons so we can eat some instant soup. beds should have been with the sheets when we arrived.

staff and breakfast were awesome. clean but the room was a bit small. 15mins walk from the station. but overall is a great hostel:)

Simply a fantastic place to stay. Helpful and friendly staff, everything clean and functional, and unbelievably good value considering location, privacy of rooms and breakfast included. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
