I have never been to any terrible hotel or hostel in my life like this , first of all it has only 2-3 rooms with no lift , and stair case is very narrow , no facility at all, untidy , and they charge 5% tax at the time of check in , but no other hostel does that THIS HOSTEL WAS VERY BAD EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE ..

thank you for you booking with misterbean bed and breakfast. 5% city tax everybody in amsterdam paid that don,t come wit excusses please. nothing in the website you can see we have lift!!! we have facility but you don,t have money for that . and also you check out time was so late we didn,t say something.

Our stay at Mr. Beans was actually rather nice! There are only two rooms and they are quite small but they are clean and give you somehwre to rest your head. It is run by a small but extremely friendly and helpful staff! We forgot towels and a blow drier and they kindly provided them to us, when the wifi wasn't working they immediately fixed it, and they do a good job of making you feel welcome! Also the location can't be beat! I think it is a little over priced but otherwise I would recommend.

This hostel is a real joke. The only good point is the emplacement , at 5 min to the centraal Amsterdam. Is it good if you dont want to spend money and if you just stay there one night.

Ali at reception is cool.... The kitchen is not really a kitchen.... But location and price were excellent... And that's most important for me at the time

great location, really friendly staff! bit tricky to find, small room, small bathroom. very clean :)

Good hostel for cheap money, very well located. However do not expert to be able to have breakfast before 10am and also there are a lot of sounds coming from the street in the night. Though worth it for the location, mostly for young travellers!

the place is so small the bathroom is impossible take a shower and has no lock too

The best part about this place was location There were a lot of cons. This hostel is a narrow row house, meaning it has several stories that are very small and steep winding stairs. Climbing up them was like going up a ladder. With a suitcase. The room was very small. It would have been better as a two bedroom private rather than a four bedroom dorm. The bathroom didn't have a separate shower, just a faucet on the wall. Breakfast was bread and tea. And they ran out of bread. Started at 0900 als

The only word to describe this 'Hostel' was POOR. The staff were unhelpful, demanding cash only for payment for the broom cupboard we stayed in (they thought it was odd that I wasn't walking around with wads of cash on me and a sign around my neck saying 'come steal from me'). The room was crowded and stuffy, the bed sheets dirty (with hair of unknown origin), the 'bathroom' is simply a shower head OVER the toilet and the 'breakfast' provided is a loaf of cheap bread and 2 jars of jam= POOR!!

The staff were really friendly and helpful. And although the room was tiny, it was very clean and came with towels and bedding. A good place, but tricky to find!

No lockers, weak WiFi, no ladders for the upper beds, no bedside table (or any table), wooden ladder to another (used) room inside our own room, which we have not booked, way too expensive, badly organised, ...

Lack of basic amenities. Electric kettle in the room would be nice. The room is quite small. And the rental per night is expensive for that type of accomodation

Good location and cheap but a little junkie and small. Good for a quick night or two if on a budget but if possible go somewhere else.

Mr Beans is extremely basic accommodation. However, this is reflected in the price. The location is fantastic and is ideal for those who do not intend spending much time inside. If you like your home comforts, do not stay here. However, if you simply wish somewhere to lay your head for a bargain price, then I would certainly recommend Mr Beans as a place to stay. The staff are also friendly and helpful.

It was the worst Hostel we have ever stayed until now! We got a room just for us andit was quite small and very dirty. The bathroom was also completely dirty and very very small. Moreover there was some cosmetics at the bathroom... Even though the personnel was kind I would definitely not come back to this Hostel. It does not worth for the price!!!

Breakfast says free... And then you have no breakfast
