I LOVE this hostel! The location is ideal, the facilities are amazingly clean, the hostel looks superb (very well decorated), the dorm rooms include decently-sized lockers with keys and labels attached, AND the staff (Jae-hoon) is super awesome (he’s really friendly!). The only downside I could possibly think of is that we had to share one bathroom (for the dorms at least). This didn’t bother me at all because everything else was just so fantastic.

The nicest host I've ever met! He is really friendly and helpful. He gave us some maps, drove me to the downtown, and took us to a Korean sauna!!(That was an interesting experience.) The location is 10min away from Hongik Univ. subway station around which there are many restaurants, clubs, bars and shops. The rooms are very clean. I'll definitely stay An-Nyong Guesthouse again next time I go to Seoul. Recommended!

Taveling to South Korea was my frist real trip of my life and also my frist experience with staying at hostels. This place really set a high expectation for myself for what to expect for staying at a hostel for about 15 dollars CND a night..If your looking for a chill type of astmosphere and a place that isnt too big this is your spot to go. The owner is super nice and I will give you pleny of tips of what to see and where to go an night...and he also gives you eggs in the morning!

The host is so friendly and helpful. It's definitely cozy. Met some very intersting ppl there. A bit far from the metro, 10 min walk was a bit tough when you had shopped for 6 hours and carried 4 bags.

Jaehun is one of the nicest hosts I ever met. The place has a very private feel about it. I met lots of nice people there and can only recommend it. It"s not a big party place, rather quiet and relaxed (which I like). Maybe a bit far from the subway station, but not too bad. Free lockers and free laundry.

I stayed at a few hostels during my 3 weeks of travelling and An Nyoung was the best hostel that I stayed at. Its easy to get to from the airport and is centrally located to most of the attractions in Seoul. Jaehun who managed the place was very helpful and friendly. We didn't know where we were and he offered to come pick us up.

This is more like a guesthouse than a hostel. It's actually an apartment converted into three rooms for guests. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay where you can have some privacy and relax, it's a great place! The family that runs it is very nice and will help you with anything! They even ordered a pizza for us and went and got it because the place didn't deliver. The location is also nice: party scene, airport connection, but still a very Korean and quiet neighborhood^^

This is a fantastic hostel in Seoul. It’s a quick taxi ride from Seoul station and is located about 10 minutes walk away from the Hongdae area and nearest subway. Both of which were fantastic for day time shopping and night time clubbing. The owner is a real credit to this hostel. He allowed us to check-in extremely late on our first night and also granted us a late check-out on the day we were leaving. This was a blessing considering we had checked out the Hongdae clubs until late the night before.

The price this was ok for a one night stay. However, the host needs to work on his welcoming skills. When we arrived he had been sleeping, so he didn't say much, he wasn't even sure how much we needed to pay him. We had to ask where our room was, and weren't given any information about our stay. Luckily we have been to Seoul a few times so we didn't need a lot of guidance but if i was a first time visitor i would have been more annoyed by this. Cleanliness of the bathroom was also poor!!

Owner Comment (Show)
I am very sorry for your inconvenience, I will try to be better. Just let me pardon, I think I am not a professional yet, so deeply I feel sorry not to talk with you much. However as my memory, your boyfriend and I were talking about each other's interest, because I like british culture especially about Sharpe and Hornblower series... Maybe I was a little bit shy to you because you are lady... And I think we couldn't talk because it was so short time. Again I feel really sorry and nexttime I will be better person. Anyway thank you for reading my clumsy English, Have a good day Bye! :D

I was very impressed with the guesthouse. The owner was very friendly and helped us with anything we needed. The location was good; a bit of a walk from the main strip of Hongdae and easily accessible to the subway. Everything was neat and clean. I just suggest that guests be made aware to take better care of the bathroom - clean up after using. I would definitely recommend the guesthouse for simple and easy comfort for a weekend trip in Seoul.

This is a family-running hostel, which I felt like I stayed at my home in the whole time! The price for one night is well-deserved. The hostel location needs a little walking distance from Hongik Univ. metro station, but still, it won't be so far away after you walk down a street full of restaurants and the convenience stores. The owner, JaeHun, is very friendly and helpful, he picked me up in the station when raining, and I enjoyed a great time when he drove me to downtown for sightseeing!

I spent a very good week in An-Nyoung. The location is perfect: really near Hongdae station, the neighbourood is quiet but you are only 10 minutes walk from the life center of this student neighbourood. The staff here is really nice and really eager to help you. If you have any question, any problem, just ask Jeahun and it will be a pleasure for him to explain you. The guest house is clean, the kitchen is big and with everything you need if you want to cook. The 6 bed room is really comfortable.

My friend and I went to An-Nyoung! at the end of March 2012 for a week. The Hostel is an appartment wich makes it very convivial. It is held by 2 young Korean who helped us a lot during our journey by driving us in Seoul during day and night. They can also order great Korean food for you if you feel a bit tired too. If you like to party or enjoy a drink in a dynamic area Hongik University is the perfect location considering the number of bars and clubs.

Run by a family. They were very kind and welcoming. The son asked me several times if there was anything they could do better. Also gave me a lift to the subway station at the end of my stay.
