Easily one of the best hostels of my five month trip, this little oasis in bogota has everything! I especially loved the little touches: hot water bottles at night, a hair dryer and a stove that stays on most of the day keeping the kitchen warm. It is lovely and tranquil, not a party hostel, but it attracts a great bunch of people. Good free breakfast includes egg, cheese, toast and a range of coffees and teas all day. Fully stocked kitchen and good location, close to all the historic sights.
Really peaceful, chilled out hostel. Comfortable beds and hammocks in the very pretty garden. Amazing, fully equipped, and beautifully warm kitchen. Highly recommend this hostel!
Just excellent! One of my favorite hostels. The atmosphere is so good to calm down from Bogotas hectic city life. Not for party.
A beautiful oasis near all the main attractions. The staff is superb and it is a good place to relax and feel yourself at home.
Beautiful hostel in the colonial style city centre. The dorm, despite it comprising 12 beds,is really cozy and spacy, the oven in the kitchen gives you the possibility to sit in a warm common room and during the night you get a hot water bottel. The bathrooms are impeccable and the showers really hot.The hostel is excellent value! The only thing you have to be aware of is the fact that taxis can only access the address via circunvalar street which is not really safe from 9 p.m. onwards.
Great experience, great attentive staff and the tea options were incredible!

Wonderful place with a lot of atmosphere, kind staff and free tea and coffee.
This hostel is absolutely beautiful. Situated in La Candelaria, it's walking distance to many museums and historical sights (Museo de Oro, Museo Botero, Casa de Nariño, etc). The staff was very accommodating and provided everything we needed. Breakfast was eggs, toast, tea and coffee, and the cozy kitchen was a central place for meeting other travelers. It did get cold at night (during late Aug), but hot water bottles for warming the beds were provided for free. Would definitely recommend.
It is rare that I write reviews but this is by far one of the best hostels I have been to. 5 stars in every category.

Great location...in La Candelaria Free tea anytime of day (three different types) Fantastic Mexican restaurant two blocks away Comfortable beds with a lot of blankets Cool layout (garden, hammocks, cozy kitchen area, etc.) If you want a chilled out hostel, it's perfect. If you want a party hostel, do not stay here. Hostel is fairly cold (in the bathrooms and rooms)
A wonderful place to stay in Bogota! Clean and beautiful hostel with insurpassable staff. We stayed here twice and I would recommend it to anyone coming to Bogota.
A lovley nice Place. You'll feel like at home. One of the best Hostel I ever have been! All places in the Center are in walking distance. The people are very helpful and nice.
Very clean. Somewhat remote. Limited restaurants nearby
This was my second stay at Anandamayi. I love the location, very secure and an easy walk to lots of restaurants and museums. The hostel itself has a lovely peaceful quality and the courtyards and rooms are simply beautiful, with a historic feel. The staff are friendly and wonderful (Spanish language only). The wonderful sense of peace and history is offset by the fact that the rooms can be very cold, especially at night, and the showers don't get fully hot.
Anandamayi is in a neighborhood that is fine by day, dangerous at night. Great wifi, kitchen, and charming garden courtyards with hammocks and hummingbirds. There are NO pubs nearby by, and just a couple of restaurants. But all the tourist sites are within walking distance. Showers and toilets were clean, functional, and plentiful. Room was COLD - no heating at all even though it was 10 at night. Staff excellent, and responsive 24/7. Bring warm Pajamas!
Anandamayi ist a very special place in an old athmospheric building. The location is very nice and comforable, excellent quiet place to relax from the city life. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a pieceful stop in Bogotá.
