Anandamayi is a fabulous, amazing, magical place. I'm blessed I got to stay there for 5 days. It changed my life. Staff is dedicated, the place is absolutely beautiful, it's a little piece of heaven. It's calm, full of plants, flowers and hammocks. Amazing experience.

Highly recommend this place as they cover all the bases and then some. The courtyards with hammocks are an oasis and provide much serenity. Other than the Alaskan chode who tried to take ownership of the kitchen and TV, my family had a great stay and would certainly return.

.This would be a good hostel to stay at if you are interseted in a quiet visit and sightseeing. The only things to do nearby are tourist sights and restaurants. This is not a vary social area for foreign travellers. The hostel did not allow alcohol on the premises, and the shower was cold, and the kitchen was primitive. The staff was very nice, but as a person looking to meet new people I would not stay here again unless I wanted a quiet romantic evening. They did have a TV in each room

This was simply one of the most beautiful, peaceful, serene, secure, lovely hostels I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Lying in a hammock in the courtyard reading, with Buddhist chants playing softly on a loop.. aaah. The neighborhood is quite safe by day (streets are heavily patrolled because of all the gov't buildings in the area), lots of good restaurants and a charming French pastry shop/cafe in easy walking distance. The staff speak only Spanish, but are charming and eager to help.

Really awesome, chill, quiet, peaceful hostel in a beautiful old colonial home. Comfy hammocks in several stone courtyards, incredibly friendly staff and lots of character. The dorm is a great deal, large, airy and comfortable. The private bathrooms are also quite nice. Not a party hostel. Highly recommended.
