Spotless. Secure. Chill. Bohemian. This is what you'll find at Anandamyi in the so-called "sketchy old town" of Bogota. La Candelaria is not sketchy as you may hear, however, Anandamayi is super secure. This is not a party hostel----thank heavens, and is a place you can enjoy a good book on a hammock and recharge your battery to immerse yourself in the pleasantly chaotic mega-city of Bogota. There are cheaper options, but this is a wonderful place unless you're looking to get wasted.
The atmosphere at this hostel was incredible - beautiful courtyards and rooms, friendly guests, and pleasant staff. The tea in the kitchen is delicious, and it was always hot! However, both times I tried to take a shower there was no hot water. They also ask for a 10% tip when you check in and pay, which I thought was a little weird.
This hostel Is Absolutely amazing. Inmaculately clean, personal VERY helpful And nice, extremely comfortable, and BEAUTIFUL! Exactly or I would say even better than in the pictures. They hAve coffee and teas all day long. Breakfast with bread-eggs-cheese-jam And juice. Situated in La Calendaria, old Town of Bogota, with a cpl of very Nice restaurants just one block away, café y cocina ( you must Try this place! ) And El son de los grillos ( beautiful for a romantic dinner!) thank you guys!!!

Probably the best hostel I've ever been to. Not for party animals but if you seek a refuge to recharge your batteries, this place is definitely your best choice. Wonderful vibe, great staff and very central location, I book a bed there anytime I come back to Bogotá and I've been recommending it to everybody I meet. Nobody has been disappointed yet and I'm sure you won't be either!
Hostel was excellent - gardens were beautiful, room was spotless. Staff was very helpful & tea and coffee all day was nice. Location is a little iffy during weeknights when police presence is less visible, but daytime&weekends it is great. Would definitely stay again.
A very relaxed and calm hostel. I ended up doubling the length of my stay. Great location with most interests within walking distance. Staff are very friendly and speak in Spanish. Would recommend it for a chilled stay.
A really beautiful converted house with lots of lovely details. The showers were hot, and the staff super friendly and helpful. It was a little quiet - but that was the guests, rather than the hostel itself
Staff where really nice and the building is amazing! Breakfast was really good too.
The house is very beautiful with gorgeous patios. The showers are hot, the kitchen well-equipped and there are computers and other services available. The location is perfect to explore Bogotá. We only had one night here, but I'm sure this is a good place to rest and organise your stuff while travelling for a longer time. If you're in Bogotá only for a short while and out to meet people and party this is probably not the richt place for you. For us it was perfect.
Definitely not your party hostel. It's always very quiet (literally all day and night) which can be a nice break if you've been jumping around hostels and truly just want to stay in and relax. They have the biggest selection for the book exchange that I've seen, as many warm blankets as you need and the hottest shower I've had in Bogota. This is a wonderful, quaint hostel.
Loved this place. Lots of plants, hammocks, great breakfast and rooms. A lovely place to chill away from busy Bogotá.

Amazing spot. Such a great hostel to chill at. No real complaints.
Probably the best hostel I've ever stayed at! 24hr coffee and teas in the kitchen, beautiful peaceful gardens, lovely staff, overall a very peaceful and relaxing hostel to stay in. The guests do socialize a lot with each other but this definitely isn't a party hostel.
Awesome place if you want a serene atmosphere, Ingrid was very helpful and the place was spotless and very clean! Located in Candelaria which is walking distance to all the attraction, although wouldn't suggest walking in Candelaria in general past the late hours. The garden is beautiful and very calming in the middle of the bustling city of Bogota!
Charming ambiance and all was enjoyable. Rooms are somewhat cold in the winter, but hot water bottles helped.
