Great place just avoid the room that is next to the doorbell

Fantastic hostel, awesome gardens and relaxing areas, fast wifi plus computers, great breakfast and very attentive staff. We are using Bogota as a base for our Colombian travels and will definitely return to Anandamayi.

Nice eco hostel with gardens and water features throughout the property! the hostel was quiet so if you are looking for a party maybe stay elsewhere, it was a nice relaxing couple of days here

This hostel is one of the best in Colombia. It is not a party hostel. It attracts a variety of people and the energy is excelllent for chlling out. It is very safe. Lock boxes. The staff is wonderful. Breakfast is served early. Warm beverages always available. Dorms roomy. Lots of hammocks. Good location. Newspapers every morning. Have stayed here four times and will return. Never have heard a negative comment about it. It is like a home away from home. A great place to return to after being out

Everything was good except for the breakfast: three pieces of toast, no fruits no cereals: miserable.

Great breakfast, friendly helpful staff, cosy kitchen/common area and hammock areas. Great hot showers. The only downside was it was a little quiet at night and didn't feel that safe walking on your own. It is only about two blocks from busier streets, but it is a bit of a downside.

You will feel just like home there. Do I have to say more?

Very tranquil hostel with a very good, calm feeling to it. Comfortable, cozy and a great place to chill...definately not a party place. Kind, friendly and very helpful staff.

2nd visit. Great location, staff, relaxing areas, laundry, kitchen & they make you a hot water bottle for your bed, in case Bogata is cold. Not a party hostel, which is good. French pastry shop on the corner across from the hostel check out. Only suggestion is to give directions from the bus terminal. Walk 6 blocks to the TransMilenio (red buses that drive in their own lanes), take J6 into the center until it ends (bus driver will tell you), follow everyone, take F23 to Museo Oreo.

Went on a two day trip with my girlfriend to Bogota and enjoyed our stay at the hostel. It is right smack in the middle of the Candelaria and were able to have quick access to all the sites nearby. The place itself has a nice hacienda layout with hammocks and patios to enjoy. We booked one room but was moved to another room with a private bathroom with hot water. Always a plus.

Can not speak highly enough of this absolute gem, most definitely the best hostel I've stayed in on my South American travels.

Staff was always pleasant and willing to answer questions. My request for the laundry to be done at cool water and dryer temperature was honored. The lovely garden was tranquil and the decor, cheerful. We appreciated the warm wool blankets.

Wow. One of the nicest, most beautiful, clean, and tranquil hostels I have EVER stayed in PERIOD. The people who run the hostel are extremely sweet and go out of the way to help you during your stay. There are tremendous amounts of clean towels, and linen, and extra blankets for those cold Bogota nights, and always hot tea and a fired stove in the kitchen. WiFi access was great and the overall environment was very tranquil. The hostel has a great story as well and makes it even more desirable.

It is a little chilly throughout, but nothing a couple of jumpers and a pair of socks can't deal with

Easily one of the best hostels of my five month trip, this little oasis in bogota has everything! I especially loved the little touches: hot water bottles at night, a hair dryer and a stove that stays on most of the day keeping the kitchen warm. It is lovely and tranquil, not a party hostel, but it attracts a great bunch of people. Good free breakfast includes egg, cheese, toast and a range of coffees and teas all day. Fully stocked kitchen and good location, close to all the historic sights.
