This place as nice and funky with a cool court yard arrangement. First night we stayed there though there was a kidnapping at gun point across the road - something to do with the local drug trade, but still a tad concerning. The staff looked pretty disinterested but they did help you out when required.

Andarilo means "wanderer", but you won't want to, believe me.
This is a place to get stuck, that you can really be a part of - my four nights turned into ten, and my advice is simple: come to Porto, and stay at Andarilho, for as long as you possibly can.

I like the cultural performance (a play for instance) that took place in the terrace of the hostel. Although I don´t speak the Portuguese, I could tell people were really enjoying it.
The dinner was also wonder. 5Eruo/person and you can enjoy homemade Portuguese food.
The terrace and the common place are very nice for a nice chat with people or to read.
