This was the second time I came to stay at Andes Hostel. Good, friendly and helpful staff and location is fantastic! Would definitely stay there again.

I stayed at Andes for 3 nights in a private room with shared bathroom. The room and bathroom were all clean and everything was great in that regard. The day time staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. The two complaints I have are the night time staff is kind of rude and NO WIFI IN THE ROOMS. What's up with that? I moved hostels based on that reason alone.

Should have a elevator to go up with the luggage. The employees do not always know what are the best attractions of the city, average prices, which restaurants with the better cost-benefit, etc. Besides that, the hostel meets expectations and has a great cost-benefit.

Very clean. Excellent location. Information given in hostelworld.com were very helpful. No need to get a cab from the airport! It is easy to get to the bus terminal by public transport as well. Another pro are the events promoted at night to meet people lodged. Very helpful staff from cleaning to preparing the food. I had a little problem with my luggage in my flight. Andres from the reception, and the employee who worked in the office (girl) gave me the support until I could set things right.

Very clean, and spacious. Shame the rooftop terrace is no longer open. The cost of the hostel puts a lot of people off, but it is in a great location and has all the facilities needed. Downside is the wifi is only available in the reception and kitchen area.

The staff had no clue about anything... The seemed all new in town. Not helpful at all :(

Maybe a bit overpriced. Reasonably clean. Felt secure. A fun environment with friendly staff.

The photos are deceiving. The rooms are ok. The bathrooms have not been actually cleaned in weeks. Showers don't drain and some only have cold water. The kitchen is gross. The roof with the great photos on Hostel world had been condemned by the city. And the gentlemen that worked am shift with the long hair looked like he haven't slept in two weeks and always had a bad attitude. We paid the same amount and stayed the rest of our nights at Hostal Rado and had a great time! Good luck

Need more plugs in the room. There was no black-out on the windows. Staff was rude and never smile.

Simple, clean rooms, comfy lounging areas, great location. Would stay again

Nice place, nice facilities. Location is good, close to restaurant-area, but far away from the airport. Recommended.

It was ok.

Really nice hostel except the showers were dirty and the toilet paper bins in all the toilets on the third floor (male and female) were overflowing! It was gross! Maybe this was the case as it was over the New Years period but seriously unappealing! Also I am unsure if my bed sheets were dirty or just stained. Other than it being dirty the place was actually nice. Good communal area and fantastic location.

I had a good time in this Hostel, but the blond girl in the reception needs to be more helpful.

Overall a good hostel and in an excellent location. I was there for New Year and they organized a lot to do. Only complaint would be that the bin in the toilet wasn't emptied nearly enough and was always overflowing. The only other complaint would be for the breakfast, the scrambled eggs each morning had so much salt they were inedible.

Fantastic hostel! I stayed 2 nights and would happily stay longer. Friendly helpful staff and close to city centre and the 'tours for tips' walking tour start point which is also a must if visiting Santiago.

The location is the best thing that this hotel has going for itself. Diagonally across is a metro station; two parks within five min, less than that to museums; a laundry service (although expensive) across the street; a large and often busy grocery store three blocks; 10 minute walk to the main square; restaurants and bars are to the left and right of the hostel. I found the staff to be hit or miss on friendliness (mostly miss). The showers and the toilets were fair but needed a make over.

too many stairs, the window from the girls bathroom in one of the showers couldn't be closed, also, the window from the bedroom didn't close. Good breakfast, but not excellent, things ended really fast. Very good location.

Their rooftop bar is shut down at the moment, which is a negative for their atmosphere. But: hostel very clean and nice dorm.

Large 6 person dorm with huge lockers. Clean toilets and showers on each floor. Good sized kitchen and nice communal areas with a pool table. Very well located near to the centre and not too far from the main night scene. Staff were friendly, although the temporary staff who were travellers seemed to care less. Wifi only on the ground floor, but was excellent there. Good breakfast - cereal, toast, eggs, juice, tea and coffee.
