They locked the hostel from the inside at night so our keys couldn't open the door. It took about 20 minutes of knocking for the woman to let us in and she was very angry. A most unpleasant experience.

It was a nice place to stay. Located in a safe and calm area, close to the train station and close by the main attractions of Florence. It is a nice and clean place, with a friendly staff (however their level of English wasn't as you might expect, which doesn't make it easy to communicate, but we managed). Florence is not the cheapest town in the world, but besides a kitchen providing a simple breakfast might have been a better value for its money. Bad mattrasses also, we could feel the springs.

No staff at the hostel at the moment I arrived. No breakfast service. No pre-payment register.
