I have been on Anemomilos Villa in low season, almost no body on the city. The hostel is pretty good, clean, bed confortable. Only the location from the Fira's center is 15 min by walk.
I had a great stay here. Just a short walk from Fira town centre and the staff were great and happy to take me to the port even though I mixed up my time.
This is a very simple hotel, kind of old fashioned, but if you are looking for a budget & clean place to rest, this is the one. The pick up service is a plus ++, considering the arrival might be hectic (by boat), and the owners are very kind. The first impression is that you are in the middle of nowhere but as soon as you explore the area you will find yourself in a very good location. It´s worth it!!
The location is Firostefani, it's a 15 min walk to city centre (Fira). It's not a long walk, but it's not a pleasant walk since there are no side walks and lots of cars passing by + poorly lit up at night. Otherwise, very nice and clean hotel , rooms are spacious and well equipped. They picked us up and dropped us at the port, even though our ferry left at 12:30AM (very convenient). The owner is very welcoming, but his wife is more cold. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
Charming Villa! The owners are very nice and helpful. Good location (~12 min walk to the center of Fira) , very clean... Loved everything! Thank you! :)
I didn't end up staying here...I stayed at Margarita Hotel because there was an issue at the bathroom in Anemomilos Villa. Margarita was just up the block from Anemomilos in Firastefani, about 15 minute walk north of Fira or 1 stop on the bus to Oia from Fira. I will review that the staff at Anemomilos were very helpful and considerate when trying to pick me up from the port or the bus station, otherwise it is difficult to find on one's own. They even dropped me off at the port.
The location is actually in Firostefani, which is about a 15 minute walk from Fira. It's not bad, but the staff is never there. So if you need anything your best bet is to catch them early in the morning or at night before 9. One guy is super friendly, while the woman who charges you if you pay with credit card is extremely rude and unwelcoming. As far as cleanliness, it wasn't bad but we did see roaches. They need to fumigate.
Owner was great, picked us up and was very friendly. Only issue was an odd smell in our bathroom...

There was no energy and water what made our stay a bit hard. The owner didn't help us very much and even didn't want us to have candles in the room for "security reasons".
Arrived at santorini only to be tolded by the manager that they were full and couldn't take our booking! We were shipped off to his brothers hotel where we were forced to stay it turned out to be a great hotel but still frustrating that our plans had been changed without any notice or warning!

The staff was friendly and willing to help. it is great the fact that they provide transfer from the port since it is not so close to the city. there was a familiar atmosphere
We had a really great time staying here, and were pleasently surprised with our room size. Great value for money! It was also good that free port transfers were available and Stavros was very helpful
This hotel was quite good--very clean, has a pool, and they organize transfer between hotel & port. It's about 15-20min walk to the town centre. However, my phone was certainly stolen out of the room. I told the owner upon departure, who was not very responsive to the situation. When I returned home I emailed to ask if they found it. They responded promptly, but very aggressively. The place was perfect for us, but the security issue and subsequent poor customer service were a big disappointment.
Had such an amazing stay here.10min to the main shops, which was good because it wasn't loud at night. The staff were so friendly, and happy to help you out. And gave us free transfers from the airport and to the port. Have no complaints. Will definitely return to santorini, and will stay here again!
Lovely traditional building in Chania old town, excellent location, had a warm welcome.
The owners at Anemomilas Villa were helpful with picking us up from the port and bringing us back at the end of the trip, although the port is about 30 minutes away. Anemomilas Villa is too far from Fira town to walk back and forth (25 minutes walk), but if you rent 4-wheelers the location is great! The room was small but very clean and felt safe. However, this is not a place where you meet many other travellers.
Excellent service from this family style hostel. There is a swimming pool, as well as wifi. The host provide airport pick up and send services, even if my flight is at 7am in the morning.
The owner is super nice and gives you a sample of his homemade wine when you arrive. The shower is a bit tight but otherwise the place is good. The 4 bed room we had was pretty big. It's a quiet atmosphere and short walk the the main square.
advantages: 1. private toilet in each room 2. clean rooms 3. small swimming pool and a great rooftop for sunrise 4. free rides from and to the port 5. super friendly and helpful staffs disadvantages: 1. the wifi is a bit slow in rooms and quite 2. location is a bit far from the city centre but manageable
Good hostel, clean and calm, to the center 10 minutes by walk, bus station - 10 min by walk, nice swimmingpool :)
