Absolutely loved our stay with Mr. Why Not and his family at the Angkor Wonder Hostel! The staff are extremely kind and helpful, both with arranging some last minute plans for us, advising us on common scams at the border to Thailand, and asking us if we wanted to shower after a 4-wheeler adventure when we'd already checked out (yes!). Location is very close to everything, but off the main street so is quiet. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again (and my three travel companions agreed).

Truly the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Mr Why Not and his family are so much fun to be around and so generous with their time and advice. This place is surely my home away from home. The garden at the front of the hostel is a great place to share a beer with fellow travellers and make sure to keep and eye out for Mr Beer O'çlock, what a legend! A very professionally run hostel with a unique homestay feel. Stay here!

Can't really review the hostel because their AC was broke so they set us up in a place across the street. Staff seemed very nice.

The family atmosphere was very pleasant, and Mr. Why Nots great willingness to discuss the culture added to the value here. Best of all, the pick up service is extraordinary in that even though buses from Phnom Penh are very often one, two or three hours late, the hotel rep will still be there waiting for you to arrive. My bus was two hours late and I assumed I'd have to negotiate a taxi. No, my driver was waiting--and that service is free.

The room I was in was like some kind of joke. The cover for the electrical wiring fell on me in the middle of the night. It was loaded with geckos which wouldn't be too big of a problem if they did a better job at eating all the bugs. Never even saw Mr. Why Not. If you're a solo traveler this is a terrible place to meet other travelers because there are none. I felt dirty after a shower in that bathroom and I'm pretty sure I got a rash from the bed. AVOID this place. There are far better places.

Excellent value for money and very good location within a short walking distance from Pub Street and the surrounding area. Knowledgeable staff and had a great trip with Mr Bo the tuk tuk driver booked by Mr Why Not. If you book him for the day take up his suggestion to watch the sunset across the rice fields rather than with the crowds at Angkor Wat - it was a magical end to a very good day.

Strong hostel close to the action in Siem Reap, it's about 2-3 mins walk to pub street which is absolutely fine, area is really safe and the hostel was clean and had everything u need! It's basic but u get cable tv and a decent shower for relatively cheap. The staff are what makes the place though, absolutely amazing, would highly recommend!

Great family. They are always there for help you no matter what about. Really good people. Rooms are perfect. Prices of cold drinks are cheaper than market prices. So if you want visit siem reap and Angkor wat, stay there. Mr why not and his family waiting there and you can trust them.

The staff are so friendly, they're always up for a chat and they're very helpful with good places to visit etc. The hostel itself is cosy, and clean, and very good location. We ended up staying longer than we planned, it was that great!

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights. The room was massive and clean although there were a large number of tiny ants everywhere. In terms of the room, you get what you pay for. Don't expect too much. It needs a safe/locker. Mr Why Not and the staff are all very helpful and friemdly. It's also perfect for lone travellers as everybody is very sociable. We also did a day trip with Mr Bo who was lovely and took us to the floating villages, a monastery and to the rural countryside for sunset.

Mr Why Not and his family staff are great! Good rooms for good price, very close to the market but not in a noise location. I really enjoyed my stay.

The power went off in the middle of the night and our room got super hot. But when we finally told the staff they fixed it right away!
