Nice staff and great value. Unfortunately my AC, TV and water heater did not work but it was ok. Would recommend this place over other hostels I have been in Cambodia
This hostel was in a great location, the staff were so nice, and the rooms were a great value for the price. Their tuk-tuk driver, Andy was the absolute best. He took us to the temples and knew when the best times were to go to each, do we were beating the crowds. There were tons of insects in our room though, which came in under the door, and only one light worked, so that was unpleasant, but otherwise a good place to stay.
Lovely little guesthouse! Close enough to the action of pub street, but back just enough to get away from the noise. The little family that runs it are lovely people!
Absolutely loved the Angkor Wonder Hostel! Mr Why Not and his family are such lovely people, we originally booked for one week but ended up staying for two because we loved Siem Reap so much, which had a LOT to do with our room, which became our sanctuary from the Cambodian heat. I would recommend, and have recommended Mr Why Nots to fellow backpackers. It is a really laid back, great hostel run by honest, lovely people who will take care of anything you'd need or want. I miss it already! :)
Mr Why Not, the owner, is really great and helpful.
Mr why not was so lovely.. he collected us from the middle of nowhere and also took on a couple extra people we travelled over the border with. grest place. rooms basic and the shower was in the toilet and broken. Would recommend as they make you feel very safe. :0)
This is a real budget hostel. Pretty clean but it can be better. Location is great, 5 min walk to the pub street. Mr. Why not is very friendly and helpful. Tip: do not hire a tuk tuk for Angkor Wat at the hotel because you pay way to much! They ask $20,- for sunset and 1 day. On the street you can get a tuk tuk for around $10,-. You can not pay with a cc! It says that you can on the website but you can't!
A beautiful hostel close to Pub street but not as noisy. Mr. Why Not offers free pickup and is a delight to talk to. The hostel provides computers as well as cheaply prices beers and drinks. They also give out a guidebook to Angkor Wat which is really cool. Only issue is security a bit as the doors can be opened with the old deck of cards trick. So leave your valuables behind the counter.
A superb hostel a little off the main action in Siem Reap. Mr. Why Not and his family are very kind and trustworthy. The rooms are very clean and you can basically arrange everything from here for a good price.
Booked 2 days and stayed 2 weeks :) Mr why not and hus beautiful family made me feel like home. They even took care of me when i got the fever for 3 days. I feel so lucky to have met them and mr. Tru the tuktuk driver that i got to spend quite some time with. These folks are honest, fair and loving and i cant say enough to thank them fir their hospitality. Greetings from Israel, Sharon.

Mr Whynot is very pleasant and helpful with many questions I have on my day to day itinerary. I felt totally comfortable altho alone and first time in Siem Reap. All his staff or I believe family members are very friendly too, including his tuk-tuk driver. Will definitely return. The single room I stayed was well furnished and clean. Great value for money at just $11. And only 10 minutes leisurely walk to Night Market and Pub Street I need not go any further for my evenings feast
Absolutely loved our stay with Mr. Why Not and his family at the Angkor Wonder Hostel! The staff are extremely kind and helpful, both with arranging some last minute plans for us, advising us on common scams at the border to Thailand, and asking us if we wanted to shower after a 4-wheeler adventure when we'd already checked out (yes!). Location is very close to everything, but off the main street so is quiet. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again (and my three travel companions agreed).
very good service the owner is help full and goes out of his way to do every thing to make ones stay enjoyable he has good tuk tuk drivers that go where you want and know the town well

Truly the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Mr Why Not and his family are so much fun to be around and so generous with their time and advice. This place is surely my home away from home. The garden at the front of the hostel is a great place to share a beer with fellow travellers and make sure to keep and eye out for Mr Beer O'çlock, what a legend! A very professionally run hostel with a unique homestay feel. Stay here!
Very helpfull staff! Liked my stay here.
We really appreciated how helpful the staff was! We only had limited time and they helped us make the best of it!
Can't really review the hostel because their AC was broke so they set us up in a place across the street. Staff seemed very nice.
The family atmosphere was very pleasant, and Mr. Why Nots great willingness to discuss the culture added to the value here. Best of all, the pick up service is extraordinary in that even though buses from Phnom Penh are very often one, two or three hours late, the hotel rep will still be there waiting for you to arrive. My bus was two hours late and I assumed I'd have to negotiate a taxi. No, my driver was waiting--and that service is free.
The room I was in was like some kind of joke. The cover for the electrical wiring fell on me in the middle of the night. It was loaded with geckos which wouldn't be too big of a problem if they did a better job at eating all the bugs. Never even saw Mr. Why Not. If you're a solo traveler this is a terrible place to meet other travelers because there are none. I felt dirty after a shower in that bathroom and I'm pretty sure I got a rash from the bed. AVOID this place. There are far better places.
Excellent value for money and very good location within a short walking distance from Pub Street and the surrounding area. Knowledgeable staff and had a great trip with Mr Bo the tuk tuk driver booked by Mr Why Not. If you book him for the day take up his suggestion to watch the sunset across the rice fields rather than with the crowds at Angkor Wat - it was a magical end to a very good day.
