If you want a cheap place near the airport, this will do. Anjali has 2 different places, so if you book a private room like i did then you stay at a different place than is advertised on the website, it is ok there. My friends stayed at the dorm room hostel & said they enjoyed it, helpful staff & again near the airport.

Staff at Anjali were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, and location was very convenient - close to the airport.

most staff are fine, but the boss is really bad, greedy, unreasonable...DONT book tour from him! The driver was late, we waited for him from 8am to 9:45am! He and the boss didn't say sorry! We COULDN'T see anything we wanted, moreover, he wanted charged us more money because the driver worked over 8 hrs, and drive over over X kilometer but he NEVER talked us about it before!! When we were opposed to the requests on phone, he raised his voice and hung up the call!!!

As a first stop in Mumbai, it was perfect. The staff here was so so so so helpful. They really couldnt have done anything more to help us with our stay. Any problems that we had, they went out of their way to sort them out for us, and they were genuinely always concerned about us. If we needed coffee, they brought us coffee, if we had any questions they answered them and more, we could use the computer if we needed, and they always had recommendations about what to do and what not to do. This was a super hostel! A great place to meet other people, as this is one of the few hostels to have a common room and shared dorms. And the owner Raj is such a nice person! He organizes trips for everyone in the hostel to go to the slums with a guide or to explore the outskirts of Mumbai. Had a super time here and met many wonderful fellow travelers!

The Hostel was overall good, but WAY too expensive for the location. You can easily get a hotel in heart of Mumbai near the infamous Leopold's Cafe for the exact same price (i know.... we found a nice hotel for the same price) you just need to look. Also, the owner takes you on a tour, not telling you the price (we assumed it was free!.... you'd kinda think so considering how expensive it is!) and it was 300INR!!

Very nice place, very convenient for an airport pick up,especially if arriving into town late at night, only bad thing is that it takes an hour to get into town, everything else is great,Raj is very warm and informative, dorms are kept very clean, excellent internet and wifi (the best in India for me),shower with good water pressure,as well as a great place to meet people.

This is my second time at Anjali and it was as good as the first. A great place to begin your travels as there's plenty of other travelers to share their experiences and if there just starting out also, Raj the hostel owner is probably the most helpful guy i met in my 2 months travels of India.

I don't know if it was because it was Diwali or what, but we had serious problems with the support staff. One of the guys tried to charge us 100 rupees for the FREE internet to tell us the code. (It's only $2, but it's just the principle.) We informed him that online it says it's free, and he backed off. We booked their driver, who kept trying to force us to go to his "friend's shop" so he could get a commission. Then, the front desk guy tried to get in on the action! Very frustrating and sad.

The staff was great, super helpful. The facilities were good as well. Its close to airport which served our purpose but we were still able to get downtown fairly easily. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a place to stay and want to be close to the airport for traveling. They will pick you up and drop you back off as well.

Travel now since 28 months and this Hostel is one of my favourites! Some places are like a magnet and the people on this place plus the staff make it so special. If you like party, you could go to another space more in the center, but if you like a good mixture of travellers in all age groups and different backgrounds, this should be your place! Try on mondays the SHIVA temple! ;-) For me the close airport is also a big plus of this spot. They offer a free pick up and it works well!

Planned to stay at the Anjali Inn for two nights, already stayed for 6 nights. Rah Bhai is such a great help with giving information and guiding us to good places to go. This is the best start to my 6 month journey.

Hotel was lovely and clean and extremely comfortable. Our only problem was that it was a little far out from things so it took ages to get anywhere! there is a great restaurant behind the hotel where the food is amazing and so cheap! would def stay here again.

I don't recommend at all this hotel. I booked a single room at Anjali Inn, included pick up and drop out from/to the apt. They brought me in Anjali Guest House and not Inn as they said the room in Anjali Inn were all full. The standard of the Guest House seems lower than that showed in the pictures of the rooms published in the web referred to the Anjali Inn and the price remained the same. Then in the morning we agreed to go to the apt. at 5:45 and no-one come! I was almost loosing my flight!

The location is great for travellers who're transit with air (since it takes some time to get to the city centre, and it takes 15mins of car journey for getting to the airport!) or arriving Mumbai late at night, the free airport pickup is a plus. Raj is also very kind of offering the information I need. It's about 2km from the nearest train station - just in case you couldn't find a autorickshaw with a good price, walk will be an option (that's why the location is great!)

The staff at the Anjali in were really helpful. they picked us p from the airport for free and helped us begin to navigate Mumbai. The rooms where clean, as where the bathrooms. No bugs of any kind spotted. The AC worked well as did the TV. It is quite far out of town and the tuk tuk drivers in the area really like to try rip tourists off, so be prepared to do some fierce haggling if you want to pay a fair price.

Didn't expect to stay in Mumbai much longer than 24 hrs. Ended up spending a week thanks to Raj's great hospitality and awesome day trips. He went out of his way to get us the opportunity to be in a Bollywood film, took us to meet amazing holy men in the country side, and organised an inside look at the biggest slum in Mumbai (which was surprisingly an amazing insight into a proud and awesomely efficient culture). Wouldn't have seen Mumbai at its best if it wasn't for Anjali!
