On the check-in the staff behaved very strange like they didnt have the reservation from us ... But then we were just satisfied with everything: very nice big room, air conditioning, TV, very nice bathroom with integrated hair-dryer ... very nice terrace on the roof ... Just if you want breakfast, you need to buy it for 5 TLR and also dinner (7 or 10 TLR). In summary, for hostel price you get everything like in a nice hotel.

Good location, 5 minutes from the metro station. Many shops, restaurants, markets, and a new mall near by. A nice hotel.

the staff at Ankara Han Women's Hostel were fantastic, the receptionist kept my luggage in her room, which was kind as it meant I did not have to drag two bags around in the south of Turkey. .my room was very pleasant and very quiet, the other guests were of mixed ages and very friendly too.... the breakfast was good and plentiful, you couold help yourself to the usual Turkish breakfast, and worth the bit extra, the dinner was good and it was convenient to eat in when I was tired

The staff here could not find my reservation. Then kept insisting I had only booked one night when I showed them the email on my phone that clearly stated two. This was troubling. They seemed bewildered by my request for a map and directed me to the one on the wall. When I asked for one to take with me she found a crumpled one someone had left on the table. The staff seem to understand only minimal English. Luckily this place was located close to the metro.

Pros: Cheap, friendly, secure, breakfast and dinner available for a nominal fee. Cons: Location is a little bit less convenient than some of the other budget options (near Kurtuluş rather than Kızılay or Ulus). Very little English spoken. Paper thin walls in the private rooms. My mini-fridge and TV didn't work.

For future accomodees of this cute little hostel: 1) The staff is fascinating. Always smiling and do their best to help. They even offer to bring your breakfast to your bed without demanding any extra charge! 2) To city centre 1o mins on foot. 3 mins walkin to metro station. Plus, so close to universities in the region. Young environment, lively atmosphere. 3) In Ankara, it is really hard to find a accomodation but this one is one of the cheapest and the most convenient. Try, you'll love it!
