Thought the breakfast was great. A big variety. Everything was big. Happy with the stay

Overall, our stay at Anker Hostel was brilliant. There was a bit of a communication breakdown over the date of the booking on our arrival which was worrying but as soon as it was sorted, we really enjoyed our stay. Our room was huge with comfortable beds, a tv and brilliant shower. Staff were very friendly and always said good morning. Best of all was an included breakfast, which meant that we could limit the amount we spent in the city which can be extortionate. I would recommend highly.

Nice and tidy hotel with a really beautiful view on the city. Good breakfast. Bus and railway stations are 15 min walk, seashore about 20 minutes and the beautyful botaic garden only 10 min.

I was backpacking with my wife and her backpack was stolen from the hostes. The staff never closed the baggage room so anyone can enter and take anything. Also, we reserved room 53 witch is the "biggest room" of the hostel. The problem was not the small size instead was the smell fin the room and in the bathroom. I will not recomend this hostel to anyone.

A very clean, well-run and affordable hotel. The staff were always happy to help, and their friendly nature and perfect command of the English language made our stay even more enjoyable. The complimentary breakfast was varied and plentiful, and the showering and toilet facilities were hygienic and effective. I would be delighted to return to this hotel.

great hotel, awesome breakfast, good location! and so cheap!

Paying for parking at a hotel is not the norm; incurring fines for being inside ten minutes checking in is not a good welcome to the city.

When we arrived we were told that our booking wasn't on the system. Not sure if this was an issue with Anker or hostel world. The guy at reception was really helpful and offered to find us a room at the Anker Hostel (next door) or pay for a taxi to the Anker apartments. We chose the hostel out of convenience. I was disappointed that we still paid the same price despite staying in the hostel. We did still get access to the hotel breakfast which was good.

No complaints! We stayed for two nights. Our room was excellent and clean and it was within good walking distance of the high street and the fjord. No issues at all. The bed in our room was so comfortable, it was amazing. The only thing is that this is definitely not the place you want to stay if you want to meet other young people! Age category here is more in the 40's.

The location was vert good and our room had a great view. The staff was friendly and helpful. One minus would be the breakfast, it was quite poor and the dining area was dull. But I would definately recommend this hotel!

My boyfriend and I were really pleased with our choice of the Anker hotel. Oslo is expensive, there's no way around it, but the amenities offered by Anker (especially breakfast included, with vegetarian options for my bf) made it the best value for money we found. It's centrally located with a tram stop really near, within walking distance to several attractions. The staff were pleasant and helpful and our room was lovely and comfortable with a nice view. Would recommend and stay there again.
