Annecy Hostel Reviews

I had a very pleasant stay here. The atmosphere is very relaxed and no-stress. The kitchen facilities are great, and all the rooms and showers were new and nice as well. The staff was friendly and had lots of great suggestions for places to eat and things to see and do. I would recommend staying here! Annecy is a great gateway to the Alps and the region, and Annecy Hostel is a perfect landing pad.

Kitchen good, location very handy, unusual to have showers that stay on - no need to press a button every 10 seconds!

This hostel was so nice! The facilities, the other guests, the staff! Couldn't have asked for anything better.

good atmosphere, we knew some new friends in the hostel even though we spent only one night on it. However, the location is little bit far from the train station and it is not so easy to find it. Overall, I will choose Annecy Hostel again if I come in the next time.

Great hostel, really cheerful and friendly/relaxed atmosphere. A little out of the centre but only a 15 minute walk in. Staff were very helpful and friendly and I think live on site so it feels pretty homey. Good common area and kitchen facilities. 4 bedroom dorms were a good size with shower ensuites. Definitely recommend. Will stay here again if I ever lucky enough to come back!

The main advantage is the fully equiped kitchen. Rooms are standard and not so affordable.

It was very close to the city center, and it has a big kitchen! There is free tea and coffee, and staff is willing to help you with every doubt.

i have never seen this wonderful place in any other hostel.

Large and well equipped kitchen. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff, very welcoming and relaxed. Room small but shared areas comfortable and relatively spacious. Like a home away from home!

The hostel is the only one in Annecy and is pleasant. However, the kitchen is not open (stove is turned off) until 8:30 and the staff doesn't operate reception very early either which is irritating if you are arriving on the night train. Also, we were told the wrong information about buses to the ski site and therefore were unable to get to the ski resort.

Great place/price. Loved the cartoons and drawings on the wall. Comfortable atmosphere.

Very helpful and cheerful staff!

The hostel was pretty good overall. With multiple long term people (months at a time) it had a different feel to a normal hostel. Also, the female staff member was particularly clueless. Otherwise, the location is fantastic and it was good value for money.
