Super well stocked kitchen! They even had spices. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were extremely helpful with everything from booking excursions to making ice packs for my knee when I messed it up.
Some staff were really friendly but some we just ok although they helped us when we needed. Bright and spacious rooms, kitchen isn't that big but if you are there at the right time you can have your dinner done on time :) Location is excellent, near the prison, the "imaginary" bus station and all amenities. The only down side is the bathroom/ showers behind reception, which means miles from your room but we managed this as well.
Great hostel with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Kitchen area is big and very sociable. Not enough power sockets in the dorms but plenty in the lounge area. Eggs for breakfast! ! Great touch. Only downer is that the bathrooms are on the ground floor away from the rooms. 3 out of 4 of the girls showers keep flooding - it was pretty gross. I did mention this to the staff but I don't think it was sorted out. Really comfy beds in heated dorms. Would stay again!
We only stayed there one night. The hostel was good. The common area was nice with big couches to chill out. Otherwise the dorms and bathrooms were basic but yet clean.
I really enjoyed my stay here! Great vibe with the bar downstairs, and the staff were most helpful, especially Gabriel. Only minor issue is when staying in the dorms upstairs, is that the bathrooms/toilet are all the way downstairs thru the bar/reception and up the back...a pain when using the facilities in the middle of the night...but that is a minor quibble.
The place was cozy and pretty descent but it is starting to look like it has had one too many busy summers. The guys bathroom needed a really good scrub and all the toilet seats need replacing. It's close to the city centre which is handy and they have a really good map with information about the area. The lockers in the rooms are a good size and the beds were comfortable. One big downside if you are staying upstairs is that you have to go through the common areas to use the bathroom.
Antarctica Hostel is a GREAT place to stay!! The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly in every facet, the rooms are warm and cosy, and the breakfast is fantastic. Loved staying here!
Overall the hostel was nice and warm however it should be noted that you have to go upstairs and through the kitchen to access to most of the rooms. It should also be noted that the toilets/bathroom facilities are located downstairs, beyond the lounge and reception area (ie so if accommodated upstairs, one has to go through the kitchen, lounge and then reception area in order to get to the toilets/bathroom facilities).
It is such a lovely place i really can recommend it to everybody!
The location of the hostel near the city center and the port is really nice. The atmosphere was pretty good, the rooms were clean and the staff was really friendly! I strongly recommend this hostel.
Definitely recommend this hostel. The environment is great as well as the location and facilities . I found the bathroom really clean all the times as well as the kitchen. The rooms are warm and cozy. Gabriel, the manager, was a great host, but the rest of the staff could be a little more gentle.
Friendly staff, the breakfast is cool, everything is very good.
One of the greatest hostels i've been. The staff is very friendly and Gabriel is just unbelievable, he seems to speak all the possible languages in the world! I'm planning in come back to Ushuaia during the winter and I will certainly stay at the Antartica Hostel again.

Loved this hostel, a great base in Ushuaia. The staff were friendly and bend-over-backwards helpful and full of useful information. A lot of thought was put into making it a good place for backpackers, including good Wifi (although individual plugs for beds would be nice--got a little electronically crowded in rooms), lockers, luggage storage, in-house laundry, deep bathroom tub-style sinks if you want to do your own, great kitchen, fun common spaces, well-stocked in-house bar, fun atmosphere...
Great place to stay! Very friendly and helpful staff.
This is definitely the place to be in Ushuaia. Gabriel and all the staff were really nice and helpful. Location couldn't be better. Very close to a supermarket and the main street. The staff have a lot of knowledge of what you can do in Ushuaia, tours and etc and will help you book everything. The kitchen was great with all the appliances one might need and the atmosphere was the best I experienced in Argentina. If I ever go back to Ushuaia I'll definitely stay here again.
Very nice place great services and lockers are very secure I would put this in the top 3 picks for Ushuaia.

really nice hostal, good common area with a bar, good wifi, really good breakfast and perfect location! the only bad thing was that the rooms are in the second floor and the toilets are just in the first floor near the bar, but it's not so bad.. really recommended!
Very nice hostel, very helpful Staff, excellent location, comfortable common area.
