Emma at the front desk was awesome, but everyone was super helpful. The kitchen is also well stocked with pots pants and cooking utensils. Had some great meals there. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay. Awesome vibe, helpful staff who knew about all the activities in town, and went out of their way to help us rebook flights. Some rooms have in-floor heating which is good since the floors are cement. Ours worked off and on, but we never needed it so I can\'t complain. If I go back to Ushuaia, I would only stay here. Also. HUGE lockers that easily fit my daypack, my main travel pack and my boots with room to spare. Don\'t think twice, just stay here.

Can't recommend Antarctica highly enough: Open-plan layout meant it had a very communcal feel; kitchen was well-equipped; our (private) room was basic but clean, warm and big. Shared bathrooms were very clean, with plenty of hot water. Staff were superb - all spoke excellent English, all were extremely helpful and friendly, and they even gave me one of the few Cape Horn pint glasses they had at the bar when I said I couldn't find one to buy in town! Excellent value for money.

What a great way of staring my trip at the end of the world! I was welcomed by smiling faces and a good warm atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Very nice kithcen and good places to chill out. The only minus is that it was a long way from the bedroom to the bathroom, but the bathrooms is in good standards. It was also good breakfeast and free coffe/tea during the day. I will come back to this place if I ever come back to Ushuaia:)

Had a great time here! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and the rooms were large and comfortable and warm. The bathrooms were probably the nicest hostel bathrooms I have ever used, very clean and always had hot water. The kitchen is nice and large as well. I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Ushuaia!

It is a pity that I stayed at Antarctica hostel at the very beginning of my "world tour" because I think it is hard to find a hostel like this. The atmosphere and, above all, the staff make the difference: they are awesome. Maya made a cake for my b-day what nearly made me cry, because I was so touched by this. THANK YOU AGAIN, Antarctica staff, and Gabriel (propably one of the greatest bosses in the world), good luck with your German career;-). Ushuaia will always be in my heart because of you!

The staff make this place special. They were all very friendly and so helpful in suggesting and arranging tours and recommending restaurants in the area. Very conveniently located for tours leaving from Puerto Ushuaia (most tours leave from there). Good kitchen facilities with some free food. Very clean. Free laundry. Beds were a little squeaky but no big deal if you have earplugs. Only negative is having to go outside, back inside and downstairs to get to bathrooms.

Really good place to meet people. Gabriel is the best host I've had. Very helpful. Got off a 16 hour plane and after checking in, met some ppl that wanted to do a hike up the glacier mountain but did not have lunch. Was surprised that he helped packed a lunch on the spot so that i could hop on!

Friendly, kind and genuine staff. Great atmosphere. Wasn't able to get wifi from the rooms but the lounge is a lovely area to hang out. There is a large kitchen area so plenty of space to cook and eat.

Easily the best hostel in Ushuaia. Go there if you look for real / honest / down-to-earth people. This is not the kind of party hostel where random teenagers bother you. This is a relaxed place, highly recommended.
