The room that we stayed in wasn't prepared, i had to ask multiple times to bring sheets and finally i got them at the reception desk before going to bed even i was promised to have them brought to my room. Wi-fi wasn't working properly, shame, that a local tax had to be paid separetely and at the end they didn't accept credit card because machine was broken. Location - no parking spaces close to the hotel and only weird drunk people walking around.

Hello, I'll probably go back there! The room was clean and I had it for myself only...

Very near to the train station and it seems great at first. But the stuff is very aloof. One monsieur(strong and without glasses) is not so nice and keeps giving me wrong directions. When we mixed the cafe with kitchen, he turned out furious and judged us severely. I ordered two beds in a 6 beds female room but it turned out to be a 10 beds mixted room. The toilet and bathroom are not separated. Really bad memory in Nice!

It's just the smell is not nice in the room. Strong moldy smell....

I had a great time here in June 2013! Definitely the best dorm room I've ever stayed (6-bed female). It was very clean, cozy and quite (top floor). The staff spoke good English and were very helpful. The kitchen was very convenient with a nice open eating area. Internet was fast. The location is awesome - right next to the train station, supermarket, many restaurants, 15 min walk from the beach. I can't think of anything bad, really!

STAY HERE. This hostel is more like a hotel than a hostel in the rooms but has the atmosphere of a hostel. Clean rooms, good showers, best wifi I've had in Europe and ideal location. There is a big and well supplied kitchen that also caters for weekly €2 spaghetti and wine nights, large common areas with heaps of computers. Then here's the kicker... There are FREE CHAMPAGNE nights. Dan The Man (the owner) is a legend and the girls at reception tend to be very attractive.

The hotel was just crossing the street from train station. Private room where I stayed was spacious, very clean and confortable. Although they took like two hours more to allow me check in, staff was very nice and helpful. They have free internet access and wi-fi.

We paid for the large mixed room but got a 4 person room with a private bathroom, which was nice. It was clean and they changed our sheets often. It was also right next to the train station and offered free computer use. The wifi worked in the room. Overall, a really nice hostel!

It is Antares Hotel on their signboard, not hostel. So just do not doubt when you arrived. Really like the location that it's just in front of the Nice Ville train station, and just cross 2 junctions is the main street, supermarket is just 2 shops beside. Fantastic location! Bunk bed is sagging, I have lower backache after 2 nights. I like the staffs friendliness. Would stay here again definitely.

Great location, good place to stay

Excellent place to stay, way fancier then expected and the staff was extremely acommodating and helpful. I truly would recomment this place to all travellers, not just because of the good money value, but because of the location in the centre of all. You will not regret coming to Antares Hostel!! If I ever visit Nice again, I know where I'll stay :D

Arrived early and they let us check in. Also we booked a 6 bed mixed dorm and got upgraded to a private double room for only 4 euro more. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Could have been a bit cleaner and we had a noisy pipe going through the bathroom in our room

The champagne party was great and the staffs are super nice.

The hostel is located across from the main station, so it's convenient to go anywhere for day trips. It's also walk-able distance from the beach. The one thing that pissed me off is the roommates. There were some party people and my two roommates (they were traveling together) were one of those people. The had no ideal about responsibilities. They always came back around 3 AM, turned on the light and took a shower. The hostel should have some basic rules to protect other customers.

Spaghetti party was dope. Friendly staff and a good location. Tiny rooms though and if you hate elevators don't go.

The rooms in this hostel are very small. There is not even enough space to store all suitcases. The dorm rooms are part of a 2-star hotel with private rooms. The dorms are below the roof on the last floor of the building. So it can get pretty warm in the rooms. You have wifi in the entire building. Sometimes they organize a food party where cheap food is offered. However, every night there was a lot of noise of party people on the terrace (kitchen). It was too noisy to sleep without ear plugs.

It's a great place to stay for a few days while you visit Nice. Perfectly placed in the center, the rooms are clean. The common chillout area is a great place to meet people and the kitchen and outside terrace is very well done. The staff are very friendly however keep a copy of your booking details as the person behind the desk changes often and there we encountered misunderstandings with how many nights we had book. But all was sorted out easily.

We booked two beds in hostel style accommodations, but when we arrived, we were upgraded to a hotel room at no extra charge! This was certainly a nice surprise. I'm not sure if they overbooked the hostel beds or what, but we were very happy to have our own hotel room. It was very clean and comfortable.

Great place and very helpful staff. My room was very tidy and cleaned daily. The location is very close to the train station, but it is an easy walk or tram ride to old town and beaches.
