Nothing magical the place is ok. The location IF you have a car will not be a problem. It's easy to get to the center by car. The girl at the reception was reactive when we mentionned the fact it was cold but in the morning when we left there was no one at the reception...

If you've got a car, no problem, but be aware that this hostel is about 3 KM from the train station. I hiked it with heavy luggage in hot sun and am still hurting! Other than that, the man who ran the front desk was extremely pleasant and tried to be helpful at all times; limited English, but we made it work. The room was very nice; floor a bit dusty, but clean bathroom and bedding. Lucca was gorgeous, authtentic Tuscan villa; the city center is a quick bus ride or about 1 mile walk away.
