Staying in Cannara was an excellent way to begin to escape the beaten path. Cannara itself is a very nice, quaint village and if you are traveling to major destinations such as Rome and Venice, it serves as a very nice break from the city and crowds. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. They offer a "shuttle" service to Assisi for 10 euros one way. The hotel itself is very clean and has a full kitchen. Breakfast is offered.
