The staff were very nice and helpful, and the hostel is right next to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, easy 2-minute walking distance. You also get a great view of the ocean on the rooftop. The breakfast on the house was decent as well. The only thing I didn't like was the 4-bed dorm on the 2nd floor was way too small. There are barely any space for walking or for luggage when the room is full, and the bed sheets have many holes and seem very old.
I was in 6beds room. Smell's too suck coz it's in basement. If you stay in dormitory you can't see the sun all day.
This place is located in a nice area of the old city, lots of food an shops near by. My friend and I walked everywhere from here: hamami, grand bazaar, spice market, blue mosque (which is so so close), it's also less than 5 min from the tram stop. The rooms were nice enough, it's a bit weird not to have your own room key, and the bunks shake when the other person moves, but you have lots of space and a nice light and outlet. I wish there was a mirror in the room- bathrooms get back logged
In the private rooms (which are in the upper floora) there are not lockers. Those are only available in the basement of a building that lacks an elevator. Also the padlock I had with me was usless, and you have to ask for the ones available in the reception with a charge. The rest of the items are awesome, especially the breakfast and the tidiness of the whole hostel

I've stayed here twice and had a great time both times.the rooms are clean and nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is great.
there is a difference being in a tourist area to staying in a residential area in istanbul. while the hotel/ hostel had the terrace dining room view

Excellent breakfast! The light in the bathroom in my room wasn't working properly (flickering like a strobe light), but when I asked staff about it, I was told there was nothing to be done until the next day. It was very unpleasant and headache inducing.
This hostel exceeded my expectations. It was very centrally-located and felt quite clean. The free breakfast was amazing and the staff was very nice. The only complaint would be that the lockers were a bit small and not inside the rooms (although not having lockers in the rooms is good if you need to make noise early in the morning). I would absolutely stay here again. Oh, and the view from the common room/lounge/restaurant and rooftop is PHENOMENAL!
Excellent location. Its about 3 mins walk to Sultanahmet square, which houses the most beautiful mosques/palaces in Istanbul. Its about 15 mins walk to the Grand Bazaar and about 20 to Galata. The 4 bed bunk room was a bit small but its airy enough and they kept it quite clean. The best part of the hostel is the breakfast/chill out area on the terrace which has great views of the Bosphorous. The breakfast is simple and traditionally Turkish. Hence, pretty good value for the money.
excellent location, huge breakfast spread with amazing view
