Helpful and friendly staff, comfortable and clean room (I stayed in the double bed ensuite room), delicious breakfast and an amazing location-- just a minutes walk to the Blue Mosque, Ayasofia and Topkapi Palace. I would highly recommend the Antique Hostel.

The staff were great, but the rest of the place was a bit run down and the location is on a dead end street which doesn't seem the safest. I had a bed with a bathroom and although it was nice it wasn't very clean. I probably wouldn't stay here again as I didn't feel I was getting my money's worth.

Had a great stay in antique hostel. Location is great, a 5 min walk from the main historical attractions and near plenty of cafesetc. Free breakfast was generous and delicious! Staff was friendly and fun atmosphere on the terrace level with bar, restaurant and lots of board games and card games for downtime. Room was clean, private bath especially so. Airport transfer easy cheap and reliable. Great stay thank you!

Antique hostel is really well situated in the old town and its quite easy to find. Its really just about a 3 (real) minute walk to the Aya Sofia and blue mosque and the area around the hostel is nice with boutique style shops, a market and nice restaurants. The hostel has a rooftop bar serving food too. Definitely recommended.

This hostel is exactly what it states and more. The hostel is in the best location in Sultanahmend as it is right behind the Blue Mosque. The staff is amazing - each one of them helped me so much. The room was clean, the bed was great, the bathroom and shower were clean and warm. The lounge was amazing - the views of the sea and the atmosphere in the lounge was worth a million dollars. The staff at the lounge were great and the breakfast was so fresh and tasty. I loved it at Antique and will come back

Bed was not very good - we had to sleep on top of the duvet's as the wire in matress was too uncomfortable. Also found the food and drink in resturaunt over priced and they tried to over charge me. There is no kitchen or washing facilities and front desk was not overly helpful - this is more like a hotel than a hostel. Good location and cute building on the up side. Good veiws from the top floor.

Nice place, though the staff seems to be complete idiots! So you know you need to book the shuttle bus to the airport to come pick you up outside the hostel! The staff, the idiots, won\'t tell you this when you ask weather the bus is going everyday. And they won\'t even take the responsibility for not telling you this when you stand there 7:15am, wondering where the bus is. Price for room + 15TL for a bus to the airport, OK price. Price for room + 140TL for a cab to the same airport, NOT OK price

Owner Comment (Show)
Dear Elias Douah, Your comment is unfortunately not respectfull and not honest. We wonder why you did not ask if the bus will take you or not. People ask in advance (usually at their arrival) where the bus will be and we inform them that it will be here infront of the hostel. The person who has flight and has responsibility is only you and you even did not care about your own situation. Then you write this flippant comment on an international web-site. We are not your parrents. That airport is 65 km away from the hostel. Shuttle buses are always cheaper than private pick up service. "private" car is bringing you only and as you can understand of the meaning of "PRIVATE"... Shuttle bus takes 13 people in total and also people from other hostels (not only you) so it is cheaper because it is "SHUTTLE" bus. Best Regards

The food and bar are too expensive.

This is a great hostel. Its not a big party hostel, but very clean and mature in the best way possible. I had a perfect stay. The breakfast was great, the room and bathrooms were very clean (the cleanest on my entire trip through turkey). If you are looking to stay around the blue mosque, this is hand down the hostel to stay at. I stayed at one other hostel in this area on my stay, and Antique blew it away.

This was a pretty great place for the time of year. We had a private room and the only complaint we had was that the shower leaked--a minor trifle to have. The hostel is well situated in Sultanahmet and is about a 5 minute walk from the major attractions. It's a bit far from the central bus station but then again, everything is--the city isn't structured very well for bus travelers. The price was really great for the holiday season and the staff was pretty relaxed and helpful.
