Antonio Guesthouse Reviews

The hostel, or rather guesthouse, is situated in a calm area, though very close to the bus stop for buses from Skopje. Antonio and his family are very friendly and welcoming and make your stay a pleasant experience. The private room was with cable TV and balcony. It is a good location to visit the old part of Ohrid, though there is a little walk to get there. I definitely recommend a stay at this guesthouse. Maciej, Poland

Very warm welcome from Antonio's parents which included a glass of Rakija to warm me up and home made bread from Antonio's mother. Antonio's father can speak passable English and gave me a map and explanation of what to see and where to eat. Room was comfortable, warm and clean. Wifi worked and lots of info about other destinations in the region. Overall, a great little place, excellent value for money and the kind of genunine hospitality you cannot find in any hotel. Would certainly go back!

Nice family runs the place, never met Antonio, just his parents who run the hostel. 2-bed dorm was comfortable and shared shower was always clean. The place is 3 blocks from where the main pedestrian area starts and 7 blocks in total to the lake front. If you are coming from Skopje, the bus can drop you a block away, ask to get off at "Tim Market". Overall comfortable place to stay, I reccomend it

Fabulous 'hostel' - more like a hotel, private rooms with balconies, beautiful garden, lovely and generous owners. You have absolute freedom to come and go as you please and it's about a 10 minute walk to the center/lake.

The people who run this place are extremely nice and helpful. They gave us a lot of good ideas for things to do. And on our last day as we waited to go to the bus station, they gave us coffee and hazel nuts and allowed us to chill in their garden. Excellent place.

This is no hostel: its a guesthouse for the price of a hostel, which is awesome. We had a great double room, the location is also absolutely alright - 10min to the lakeside and city centre and plenty of shops nearby. The family running it was very very friendly and they even washed our clothes for us. Highly recommended!

I can't believe that Antonio can continue to provide such excellent hospitality at such a low price. The rooms are comfortable and the family very welcoming and deserve the high rating on hostel world. I was even picked up by motorbike when I got lost trying to find central Ohrid. Directions on hostel world need some fine tuning. If in doubt, take a taxi.

Great location, spacious room with private balcony, family is helpful and hospitable. Definitely recommend it!
