Anys was such a lovely oasis in the midst of crazy Mexico City. Alfonso the owner was very helpful & friendly and provided yummy ham & cheese quesadillas for breakfast each morning! We enjoyed our stay!!

We had a great stay at Any's in March 2012 for 5 days, in a two-bed private ensuite room. The room was large and handsome, with large stained glass windows (no view, but good natural light), a kitchenette and 1.5 baths. Everything was very clean and in good order. The owner, Alfonso, is a very affable guy who made a breakfast every day and gave us helpful advice. Roma is a great neighborhood, with plenty of nice cafes and bars around (very safe at night) and easy transit connections.

The hostel owner was super nice and helpful. The room was huge, practically an apartment (with a chandelier and kitchenette). The location is the best. The only negatives were the beds and bed linens were very old and thin. The bed wasn't very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay nonetheless and wouldn't mind staying there again.

I could not have asked for a better stay at Anys Hostal. The hostel itself is a beautiful home and our room was great with lots of space. There were three of us so we had three individual beds along with a dining table and chairs and refrigerator. We also had access to a little balcony. Alfonso, the owner and his wife are so friendly and helpful. He made us breakfast every day and helped us with any questions we had. He even took me to the doctor one day when I was not feeling well. Amazing!!

Easy to access from the airport-only one change on the metro. Alfonso is a very helpful host and makes you feel at home. He prepares a good breakfast and allows free internet access from his office. We really enjoyed our stay in the beginning of our holiday and stayed there our last night before leaving Mexico. Recommended for anyone who puts home feeling and small scale before luxury and conformity.

Alfonso is very helpful. He has great recommendations. He will pull out a map and help you plan your day every morning while serving you breakfast. the double twin is large, with your own fridge and kitchen and two baths. Hostel was quiet, as was the neighborhood. Ask about the free bikes to see the whole city while peddling! He had info on day rouges at the hostel- we did the day trip to the pyrimids; it was a good, full day. The hostel is near the subway, near condesa, and bikable downtown.

From the moment that Alfonso welcomed into his hostal it felt like a home from home. He, and his wife Silvia, could not have been more friendly and helpful, recommending places to go, where to eat, and how to get around Mexico City (even lending us his bus card!). . The hostal is in a wonderful building, close to the Anthropology museum and a metro stop, so making it easy to get anywhere. A wonderful stay, which we´d certainly recommend to anyone

What a hidden gem this place turned out to be. We expected a double room but got a small apartment with a crystal chandelier. Lovely clean hostel with yummy breakfasts. Alfonso the owner is the real star of this place such a lovely man who makes you feel so welcome and helps you to organise your itinerary, and gives you heaps of insider tips and ideas to really maximise your time. Its not really a hostel its more a B and B. A must stay. A must stay!

The owner, Mr. Alfonso, is a very friendly person. The breakfast included in the price was more than we expected. For example you could get delicious scrambled egg, molletes (bread with beans and melted cheese) or chilaquiles (tortilla chips with tomato sauce, cheese and chicken). Juice and coffee are included. Tours around Mexico City (Turibus) pick you up at "Angel de la independencia" place, which is 8 minutes walking. The subway station "Sevilla" is a 5 minute walk. Very secure zone.
