We had a good time at the hostel, nothing impressive but the guy who works at night, Mustafa, he was always helpful and friendly! (Cheers, dude!) The room was cozy and had a cute decoration, but it was also a too small, specially because it was a double room. Breakfast was fine too. We'd recommend the hostel to others. Álvaro and Bruna.

The one big let down is the SMOKING, the staff smoke in the only common area and you can hardly breath. It was so bad we left a day early. The manager/owner was very agressive over this issue and said "everyone does it". Given it's illegal in Turkey to smoke indoors it was very disappointing. Accommodation is basic, but that's what you get for the price. We wouldnt recommend ANZAC house for this reason.

We had perfect stay in Istanbul! Anzac Wooden House has contributed to this. The location is great although as the first time a little hard to find.. The room was quite small but cute and clean, breakfast is delicious. Whats more, the atmosphere is really cool! All people working there are so friendly and talkative, what's make you feel like at home. If we visit once again Istanbul, for sure we will choose Anzac Wooden House :)

Hostel is amazingly located in the heart of Sultanahmet. Melissa and Raşıt are very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast, wi-fi, hot shower, view from the bed on blue mosque and all that for very affordable price. :) I highly recommend it!

Nice little hostel with helpful staff members and a sitting area upstairs. Good breakfast. Very close to restaurants and some of the main sights. Not the most comfortable of beds (springs dug into my back), private rooms very small and shower (which is over the toilet) didn't stay hot for very long. BUT great location as long as you're a heavy sleeper and won't awake to the sunrise prayers that are blaring over the speakers right behind the hostel. All in all, a good enough place to stay.

Little hard to find, but a nice average hostel, with nice staff

The staff was very nice and the hostel is right in the centre of the historical centre of Istanbul. But it is difficult to find (in a small street) and the room was dirty (cockroach!!!). However nice terrace for breakfast served till late and it is one of the cheapest hostel in Sultanhamet.

for me the security was very poor because the windows was near the other building, also it was not too strong. in general, breakfast was good and staffs are excellent

Also frühstückten wir woanders. Es gab nur einen Schlüssel also keine getrennte Unternehmungen .

This was a great hostel, we enjoyed our stay so much. The room was nice and clean. I would recommend to any one who is looking for a cheap , clean, safe and nice stay. The location is so great that all the historic places are in a walking distance. The manager Mr. Raschid is a great person. They are so helpful. Great place, thank you Anzac Wooden House..

Excellent location. Owner, Rashit, is one of the nicest and friendliest people you'll meet. I recommend this place for it's combination of location and price. Literally, less than a five minutes walk to the Blue Mosque. Rooms are small, simple and clean. But, with Istanbul outside, all we did was sleep there. Breakfast is light and easy and completely satisfying. The place was undergoing some reconstruction when we where there, but it did not effect our stay much. Recommended!
