Very nice place to stay and good value for money. Breakfasts are not super cheap but very good. Aoi was really nice and recommended some good tours for us. Good socialising area too. I wish all Thailand hostels were as good as this.
Really awesome hostel with chilled out staff, the common area is really nice but also a mosquito heaven. The mattresses are pretty comfortable and it's the hostel itself is down a pretty cool laneway, bit tricky to find the first time but i had an awesome time here.
Aoi's is the perfect combination of guest-house and hostel, quietly friendly and social with a great relaxing atmosphere
Beautifully quaint hostel within walking distance of the main attractions of Chiang Mai. The rooms surround a well kept garden/courtyard which provides a good atmosphere to meet fellow travellers. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to make my stay hassle free. Will stay here again soon.
I really liked this hostel. The garden was lovely to sit in and make friends with other travelers. The room with the fan was good, didn't need an air conditioner. The walls are very thin and can be a little noisy, bring ear plugs. Breakfast is extra but very tasty. The location is quiet and not far from the Sunday market. This place was very good value for money, I would def go back if I were in Chiang Mai again.
Hands down one of the best hostels/guest houses I have stayed at. Thanks for everything.
I found this particular hostel to be the best hostel I've ever stayed at, I found a sense of comfort, safety and homeliness here that I have never felt before. The staff were so wonderfully helpful and knowledgable, always keen to go that extra mile to help your stay that much more relaxing and exciting at the same time. Great location, great vibes, beautiful staff, and great cleanliness, I would recommend this place to all and everybody that I ever come across.

This is probably the best hostel I could ever EVER find! Aoi is awesome & helps you at any occasion, her English is very good as well; the rest of the staff is really helpful & lovely too! The setting as a garden gives such a pretty & peaceful atmosphere, it's a wonderful chill-out space with lots of green and seats to just relax, take your trip easy (NB: party animals out of the walls). A 1000 thanks to Aoi who's been so kind & helpful throughout my stay! I can't wait to come back next year! =D
This is by far the best place we stayed on our trip. Aoi was so helpful, she had a tuk tuk waiting for us at 5:30 am to take us to the airport, and you can tell she really puts her heart and soul into this place. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in Chiang Mai- it's pretty perfect!

Aoi (the owner) was so helpful with recommending different places to go and things to see. She spent a lot of time getting to know me and the other people staying at the hostel. She also went out of her way to introduce me and other solo travelers to other people staying at the hostel. The hostel is beautiful with all the plants (a relief from the city atmosphere). Aoi has been one of the most welcoming people I've met so far in my travels and I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
Lovely little garden campus; good location; nice helpful staff; I had a fan room and it was just fine at this time of year (October)--I didn't even use fan at night; 24-hour open air laundramat and whirring and clunking washers can keep you awake all night if your room is on the street; internet bad in my rooms (and I think they turn the router off at nights too).
Whether I'm going to Chiang Mai for business or pleasure, Aoi is the first person to know about it. I'm just not willing to stay anywhere else in CM. Between the atmosphere of the garden in the evening and the tranquility of the mornings and the accompanying breakfast, Aoi's is just the best. She'll book your tours with the best companies in CM hands down. This place attracts really nice guests as well. It's just so different from other hostels around the world. You've got to come stay here!
Cheap, basic, mattress on floor. Staff very helpfull.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! The garden area is beautiful and Aoi is such a sweet, helpful and caring host. Great place to meet people and the banana pancakes are delicious!
Fantastic place. Maybe best hostel I've ever been to. Great atmosphere, great place to meet people. And the dorms: simply 5 beds side by side, with more than enough room between them. Much better than bunk beds! Very helpful staff.
Very pretty looking and has a misleading rating of +90%. The rooms are clean as are the bathrooms. Cannot wear shoes inside and the female owner was forceful in telling us that. Also rude telling me I walk to loud. Tried to be friendly but the owner was rude and arrogant. I observed people who had booked tours of eat from her hostel were treated nicely... We weren't. All on all I would not recommend this place. Beers are half price at the small hole in the wall place 1 door down! poor!
I originally booked two nights, yet stayed for three weeks! The location and environment are perfect. It is generally quiet and relaxing in the garden and gazebo, definitely not a party hostel. However, still a very social setting. The owners are delightful and helpful, encouraging people to join together for activities and able to assist organising anything around Chiang Mai. Feels like home (in a garden)!

Aoi is amazing, loved her place and ended up staying a lot longer than planned! Really great value and super clean.
Had a great time here and about to head back for another week. Aoi and the rest of the staff are fantastic - really friendly and helpful. The garden is a great place to chill out, read, check emails and meet people. The dorms are a bit different - no bunks and the beds are wider that most singles I've slept in before. Each bed gets a sizable locker with a key and a place to put the belongings you are using day to day. Showers are hot, laundry service is reasonable, food is nice, great stay
