They have a very nice travel desk. All of the information: trekking, cooking class, transportation were well-managed.
The internet was slow and stopped working randomly. More reliable connection would be nice. But overall great place. :)
Api gardens is lovely. A little on the quieter side and a tuk tuk ride away from the museums and bars. The breakfast is excellent. While staff is not very helpful with booking, they are very nice. Hot showers. No wifi in rooms.
After travelling for 11months I have stumbled across this little gem. I can honestly stay it is one of the best places i've stayed with some of the nicest people. Aoi and the staff are always smiling and will go out of their way to help you. It's a home away from home. Great location, Extremely clean and comfortable beds with lockers, a great garden to chill and meet other travelers all for such a cheap price. Definately stay here or you will miss out but reserve ahead as it becomes very busy.
Aoi's garden home is lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful with setting up excursions. During my stay they held a barbecue for everyone at the hostel. I would stay here again in a heart beat!

Aoi and her family are perhaps the single best hostel owners/proprieters I have ever encountered. The hostel is everything you could ask for and more with warm smiles and friendly people constantly saying hello, fantastic amenities, great food, perfect location and supreme service. For the price (the cheapest in Chiang Mai and perhaps the cheapest on HostelWorld) there is simply no Choice but Aoi Garden Home. If you choose somewhere else, you're missing out.
A true example of what guesthouses should be. Welcoming, sociable, clean, safe, the most comfy beds, etc. Walking distance to everywhere. So many tour options but Aoi knows how to cater to your needs. She is absolutely amazing and organized a bbq for us with SO MUCH FOOD! You have to stay here - but you may never want to leave!!
great staff. friendly and inviting vibe. would definitely come back.
This was a lovely hostel ran by a lovely lady called Aoi. We went on an overnight trek and she didn't charge us for that night stay which we thought was so kind. She wanted to ensure we were happy and comfortable and gave the impression she wasn't just after our money/business which is a rarity in Thailand. Would recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Chiangmai
What a great hostel!! its clean, safe (garden-gate is closed and locked after late and guests have a key). they have a beautiful garden where you can meet travellers easily or just chill out and drink a beer. within walking distance from everything, yet on a quiet street. More than outstanding staff - i can't point that out enough!! they do everything for their guests! Aoi, the owner puts all her heart and energy to make it a great stay.
this is for sure one of the best hostels I've ever been! the staff are amazing, they make you fele like you are at home. the atmosphere of the hostel is also very nice, and quite and relaxing with some nature. The room are cozy and make you feel welcome. I deffinetly think that there is no best place to stay in chiang mai than aoi garden!
Cool laid back hostel with a chilled out atmosphere, staff are all so friendly and helpful. Aoi sat down with me for half an hour explaining all the different tours and activities in the area and the best things to do when I arrived which was fantastic. They all go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay, making this one of the best hostels I've stayed at. It's not far from all the good parts of town, everything is within walking distance. Beds are comfy and showers are warm. very clean.

A lovely place to stay in Chiang Mai, located right in the old city but out of the way of all the traffic and noise. The owner, Aoi, was extremely friendly and helpful; she helped me book all my activities while in Chiang Mai. The garden was a good place to meet other travelers and they had good breakfast available for low prices. Definitely recommend.
Lovely little hostel, great value for money. Aoi was so lovely and booked our onward travel and an elephant training day for us. She did everything she could to make us feel welcome! Rooms are basic (just a fan) but feel secure. Garden is lovely and everyone is so chilled out! Would definitely recommend.
Aoi was so friendly and helpful with everything I wanted to do- it was fantastic. There are no bunks (a great thing) and the outside garden area was great!
The hostel price is a good value. The Hostel has a beautiful garden in it. The food at the bar is a good value and is very healthy. The staff were nice enough to give me a good room when they were fully booked. But once it rained there were lots of bugs and rats in the courtyard and roaches in my room. I was awoken from my sleep and told to leave the hostel. Then they allowed me to stay one more night. But they were very disrespectful and yelled at me after agreeing tohave me stay one more night
Very nice atmosphere. Beautiful yard with lots of plants and tables and chairs to chill out. The owner Aoi is extremely welcoming and friendly, always there to help you if need something. Our private twin room with aircon was really nice. The mattrasses were laying on the ground, so that we could easily put them together as we are a couple. It was very clean and we got towels. You can get drinks all day long and Western breakfast in the morning. Quiet street, but close to temples and city center
Very nice hostel, cheap and well located in Chiang Mai. Bathroom was clean. Would recommend it.
I though this was a cozy hostel in a great location within the old city. Not a party hostel, and that's why I liked it. Walking distance from almost everything. The beds were comfortable and each had a fan pointed directly on it. They made great, cheap food and there was good coffee. I especially liked the baroque classical music playing during breakfast. The staff were super polite. Overall fantastic value for the money, locker and towel provided with free wifi. Loved this place!
