Great staff, helpful and kind. Decent rooms, aim for the ones with AC. Not exactly an urban location, but Melaka is small so you can reach the sights easily. Best breakfast I've ever had. Amazing.

Toooo many ants in the room. Luckily the owner was kind to handle them. But it felt terrible when seeing them!

very good feeling in that place with the small garden where you can relax, and have your breakfast, warm staff welcome, with a lot of precious advise where to eat, and how to get yourself around.

I loved the relaxed atmosphere at Apakaba, the staff were super smiley and friendly and helpful. I also loved the decoration and style of the place and great relaxing area , plenty of plants and greenery outside. The breakfast was also fantastic especially getting to try the sweet Malay delights. The only thing was a few mosquitoes in my room -but i guess that's to be expected and the bottom sheet kept popping of the mattress! But overall a wonderful place and i would definitely come back.

Is Kenny the nicest guy in the world. Yes, yes he is. When you're in Melaka you have to stay here. Absolutely genuine, a guest house that goes back generations. I couldn't recommend it enough!

Our group enjoyed our time there - having fun exploring the sights, shopping & food. But most impressive was the owner's dedication to serve and care for his guests beyond the usual business requirement. He keeps a keen eye for details to ensure his guests are comfortable. But more so, I'm impressed by how he & his wife involves his children & extended family in hospitality and a part of the guests' experience. Thank you for a great time, making us feel very much at home!

I got a really spacious room with good ventilation. I love the garden where people can hang around, and they prepare Malay delicacies for breakfast. The other guests and I felt so much at home that we even forgot to go outside and explore Malacca.

Room was simple and didn't have much space, but AK has amazing hosts and ambience, loved it here. A great outdoor veranda to chill out, lots of adorable cats, staff so helpful in telling us where is good for dinner, getting us taxis, and letting us use the facilities after check out.

This is not your traditional hostel stay, it's a real home stay with a local family in a beautiful traditional household. The gardens are an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city. Everything is within walking distance (10 minutes max to the main square), close to major shopping malls (5 minutes) if you need to stock up on supplies or want some aircon. There is a great local eatery just out the front of the house that cooks up delicious food for cheap. Loved this place, hope to visit again

Would be nice if most of the place can be shoe-less

We LOVED Apa Kaba!! The owners were so welcoming and friendly. It felt like home. The location is great -- a little garden hideaway in the middmiddle of Melaka, only a five minute walk to allall the action in town. If we ever return to Melaka, we wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else :)

Thank you to Noah and family for being so kind and accommodating to us as I wasn't feeling a 100 % and we were told not to worry and our checkout time can be extended. A sweet little oasis in the most tourist part of Melaka, we will definitely be talking about you for a long time. Posted you on FB.

Very warm, welcoming and helpful owner and his wife and staff. Old style dwelling, but very comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was adequate. The grounds were very quiet and provided the opportunity to sit outside, relax, check e-mails and enjoy a beer. Would recommend it to families, couples and singles.

Quite far from the central part of Melaka and not easy to find.
