Apa Kaba is a humble but charming place very close to the touristic area of Melaka at a walking distance but far enough for a quiet night. The facilities are very very basic but its corresponds with the price. The person in charge is very helpful and nice and will help you to decide where to go and how in the city.

Quite place, great breakfast with traditional dishes. Need a little struggle at first to find the hostel but I really like the sorrounding area, just like at home. Malacca tourism spots can be reached within 10 minutes walk.

This place was a calm, relaxing oasis. I loved being in a real, local neighborhood instead of a tourist complex. The staff was so friendly, I even met family members, which added to the comfortable, home feeling. They were all kind and helpful. I also loved the outdoor hang out area. Apa Kaba is a short walk away from the main sight-seeing points. It was nice to be off the beaten path. I like walking and had no trouble seeing the whole town on foot. For me, this guest home was perfect!

We enjoyed Apa Kapa very much, it was the perfect place to relax. This was an homestay with a family atmosphere, in a beautiful decorated old house, with friendly staff that gave us plenty of information about what to visit.

A great hostel. The location is somewhat inconvenient, but that makes for a really quiet, calm place to stay. I'd totally stay again. I should add that they offer bike rental, and that makes the distance from the heart of town and Jonkers walk much more manageable.

It was a very nice experience to stay at Apa Kaba. We enjoyed to stay in the kampung, chat with neighbors over the fence.

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at Apa Kaba. Kenny and the staff were really welcoming and eager to help. The room with garden view was charming. Breakfast was good too, and not just your average toast and jam. Make sure to try the Roti chanai!

Apa kaba? Very very well! Lovely place, very relaxing, cheap (3private was 20MRper person) mangoes for free really good breakfast, great hosts, pets. No air con in some rooms but the fan works well. Close to attractions, a garden, away from the noise of the backpacker area. I recommend it if you want to feel at home and relax!

We had a great time at this homestay. Kenny and his family were very kind. The garden is beautiful. With free mango's from there own mangotree! And also a lot of animals walk around freely. City center is about 10 min walking. Nice foodcorners are near by. Typical malaysian breakfast is served! Hopefully staying there again sometime!
