The staff made our introduction to Rome perfect. They were so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, right near the station and colosseum. Our favourite accommodation on our European trip so far. Fresh fruit, tea, coffee and biscuits provided, as well as the kitchen facilities. Highly recommended.

The hostel was located in an ideal location, near cafes and in a quite neighbourhood, but also a 5 minute was to the colosseum and all of the sites. It was also located near the metro that will take you right to the vatican. Francesca the host was lovely and hard working. She recommended nice places to eat and we enjoyed her kindness. There was a very useful kitchen facility as well. Very good stay overall!

We stayed in Ape Latina in April 2012 and really enjoyed it. It´s a great value for money, very save an well located. There are some really good and cheap restaurants nearby, the metro is in a 5 min distance and you can reach the historic center within a few minutes walk. Ape Latina is more a home than a hotel, quiet small but with kitchen to use. Everything is really uncomplicated and we recommand it to everyone!

Francesca was so lovely and friendly. She made us welcome, she would have little chats with us, but would never get in the way. Her dog was gorgeous too! We were so happy to find Ape Latina and would recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

Francesca is great... you may need to contact her as she was not at the place when I first arrived, but after that, everything was wonderful. The place is very cute, clean, and welcoming. Francesa offers great advice on what to see, where to eat, and is open to helping with anything else. Highly recommend!

Lovely hostel, was like staying with a friend, Francesca the landlady was lovely. You need to buy stuff for breakfast but can use the small kitchen to prepare food. 5 minute stroll to Colluseum, fantastic location. Would definitely stay there next time!

Francesca was an amazing host. Gave us directions to the best places to see, the address of the best pizza in Rome, and her number to call 24/7 in case of emergency or for directions. She was great. Even though its a B&B, there were only crackers and oranges for breakfast, and no shampoo in the shower, but otherwise a very cute place to stay. We had fresh sheets and blankets and towels, and even though there were no lockers, all our belongings were safe. Only 5 min from Colosseum!
