Location is great even though sex shops and peep shows on the street. Neighborhood still felt safe. Great section of Paris. Close to metro and a few blocks from great cafe's, bakerys, etc. No elevator. I had a 6 story walkup room. Sort of drab but ok. Do not plan to spend any time at the hotel except to sleep.

Ideal para grupos de amigos. Está muy bien situado y muy bien comunicado. Se puede ir a muchos sitios andando. Los baños son muy pequeños pero están limpios y por la noche no hay ruido y se descansa bien. Es para ir a dormir básicamente y pasar el día de turismo por ahí. Pero para el precio que tiene y el sitio en el que está, es muy recomendable.

The evening receptionist was rude after I had been clear with the morning guy about my arrangements on the Sunday. On this particular day I was shunted into a different room and was only allowed to check in for a second time after 16:00, forcing me to follow up my marathon run with wandering around a museum I didn't really want to visit - for several hours ! Although I like to prepare thoroughly I can tolerate most other things, but I refuse to accept someone having a go at me. Unacceptable !!

The staff was very kind! The hostel is located in a very good place close to the underground and Notre Dame, etc. You can go walking everywhere. The room was very confortable and nice. We were in an ensuite room and the shower was great! And we could use WIFI.

the hotel is located in a prostitution area therefore it's a bit scary to get there night time, but all in all the room was really clean and we had a pleasant staying.

Internet connection wasn't working at the time for the 3 top flors; I asked the hotel staff but they couldn't solve the issue during my stay

The hotel's location (rue Saint Denis) is known for sex shops, etc. One might thus get the impression that it is not safe, but it indeed is a very safe place - I confirmed this not just by staying there for a few days but from my French friends who are local experts. It's a safe place conveniently located as far as metro goes - it's on line #4 (Reaumur Sebastopol); so you can quickly get to gare de l'est, gare du nord or Chatelet / Les Halles (all in 2 or 3 stops).

I enjoyed my time here. The hotel was very French. The location was fantastic - close to shops, transport and restaurants. It was also clean and secure. There were no internet facilities, unless you had your laptop.
