Big airy rooms, large kitchen, good location, lockers and computers in rooms. Hazy directions- no signs on metro exits, street directions could be more clear, & entrance is in side alley. Cant see 1st floor sign if it is night. If calling 24hr reception if arriving late, the girl with the phone was sleeping in our room and the phone rang unanswered for hours. Seemed our room was back up reception which isn't cool. At night, people would buzz for 15 mins before she'd wake to let them in. Weird.
Even though we only stayed one night, the hostel was great! We arrived ridiculously early in the morning around 7am and we were greeted cheerfully by Maria (I think her name was). Staff were really accommodating and super helpful in showing different places of interests, facilities were great. Free tea and coffee and a common room to relax. Would definitely come back here!
The staff was the best. The directions to the hostel from the subwsy were difficult to understand because the street names aren't very visible. Ask for places to go by. Would stay again.
Extremly pleasant. It feels more like a cosy, private flat where everybody knows each other than a hostel - and that's thanks to the wonderful administrators who know very well how to make people feel at home. Thanks for everything and greetings from Vienna! Sophie
A good Location with 2 very good administrators....Gina & Sofie are very good hosts who ensure that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Its very close to the Red Square and the metro station. The rooms are clean with a good common room and kitchen. The toilets and showers are good too.
Apple Hostel is a great place to stay in Moscow. Great location, with cheap restaurants and the subway nearby! The staff are all fun young Russians who go right out of their way to help you with anything - especially finding places to visit and how to get there. As everyone says there's a wait for bathrooms but it's really not a problem. A very cozy place to stay and highly recommended.
Its location & staff are the best things about the hostel. The staff will do everything they can to make sure you enjoy your stay in Moscow. Overall a pretty good place but it does feel like there are too many beds for the size of the place.
our stay in this hostel was great ! the staff is nice but quite new so they're still learning. The best two things in this hostel are the location and the atmosphere, is really near to red square and you feel like in your house.

Very difficult to find but once you get there, the staff are friendly and it's fine. The room I stayed in was really small but clean and fine - a bit noisy though with traffic noise and other people (usual in a hostel I guess). All staff made an effort to get to know you and help with any questions.
