The elevator service always had a queue. Hot water in shower was not good in morning.

Clean room, hot shower and a/c. Room very very tiny but i understand that is usual in hong kong. Main problem is the building you have to walk through each day to get upstairs is awful.. full of immigrants who stare and made comments.

it`s a place to sleep. it`s close to most every thing, shopping, harbour, all kinds of food, subway trains and buses.

Because only one lift serves the 14 floors, it can be quite slow waiting to use the lift. The staff were excellent and solved any problems I had.

I have already stayed there twice during my travels in Asia. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spotless. Although not very big, but you can always chuck your luggage under the beds (loads of room there). Probably the best place to stay in whole Chungking Mansions! Would definitely stay there again.

Rooms are absolutely tiny, but very clean and the staff is extremely helpful. All in all a very fair deal for a location so central. Don't be put off by the entrance hall, the elevators and the whole of Chunking Mansions, though!

Great hostel! Great location! Staff were very nice and helpful! Anybody reading this PLEASE take in mind the only thing that I don't like about this place were the hawkers/touters (people trying to sell you stuff) downstairs. I think I should mention here to anybody who is going to stay here is to COMPLETELY IGNORE (meaning no eye contact, no talking, NOTHING) the hawkers! Anyways, the area (Nathan Road) is great, plenty of stuff to do there. Room is small, not bad 4 teh price^^

This is a typical Chungking Mansion hostel. (Tenement really.) I had a private room with a bathroom. The staff was pretty nice, but it's a little scary walking into the Chungking Mansion by yourself in the middle of the night. (not the hostel's fault, of course.) If you need a place to sleep and you're on a budget, staying here is not so bad.

When we arrived at the hostel our room had been double booked so we were taken to additional accomodation next door for the same price. The en-suit room was very clean, quiet, with air con and it was reasonably spacious for Hong Kong. The owners of Apple Hostel were friendly and helpful. The hostel is very centrally located, close to transport and amenities but working your way through the food halls, touts, lifts and narrow corridors of Chung King mansions is an interesting experience!!
