first time staying in a hostel, so didn't know what to expect. for a place to stay for $35 USD per night, this was fine. I was gone most of the day and just needed a place to stay at night. AC was working but Wifi was spotty. elevator to 10th floor is annoying. ladies who work there are very friendly and nice

Location is the best feature of this place. Rooms are very small like any other in HK, but my room was clean every evening and staff was very nice and helpful. I had some problems with getting up to 10 floor where the hostel is, because they have only one elevator for the whole block. So you have to wait from 2 to 15 minutes or use stairs :-)

Location is good to go to most of tourist attractions. The hostel is on 10th floor, it's a bit scary to get lift to the hostel, especially at night. All facilities are well-equipped. For cleanliness: Bed wrap is a bit old and not clean. But anyway, it's ok to stay.

Great location and value for money, being right by an underground stop and 5 mins walk from the ferry. The building isn't going to win any awards for beauty, but the rooms are clean and staff very friendly/helpful. Also felt pretty safe, with an extra lockable door for the corridor of 6 rooms where mine was located. Only word of warning is the map provided is misleading in my opinion. I would recommend using google street view beforehand to locate the entrance to Changking mansions.

It is good that they get the room ready before the next customer to check in. We have been wait for 40 min to get the room key and by the time we check in already 3.15pm.

Have stayed at numerous places throughout HK and this is by far the friendliest place i have stayed. I can speak highly enough of the staff who were friendly, helpful, and went beyond expectations to ensure a good stay. The hostel is in ChungKing Mansions Which despite its rep is actually a great place to stay. Safety and cleanliness were fantastic, will be staying here next time i come to HK. Thanks Apple Hostel.

Both Raymond and Lisa were very helpful and professional. For my student budget, the hostel was perfect and it was in the most convenient location, with the Tsim Sai Tsui subway station just right outside the hostel. Also, since it's on Nathan Road, it's convenient to get to other places within the area. At night, it is a little sketchy outside the the Chungking Mansion area, with random people loitering around but I found it pretty harmless. The elevators are a long wait sometimes.

I've stayed just for a night but the service of hostel was pretty good. Especially cleanliness of the room was quite better than other cheap hotels. One thing bad for me was the room has no window, so I felt stuffy in the dark room T_T. However it took no effect for my good feeling for Apple Hostel.

Location was very convenient. Took the A21 airport bus directly to Chungking Mansion. The bus stop is approx a min walk away from Chungking Mansion and whole journey took approx 50 min. The single room was small as it is throughout the whole of HK but the room and ensuite bathroom was clean in general. TV and kettle was also included in the room. The staff on night shift was really friendly and helpful! keep up the good work!

The staff was lovely, very helpful. The building is a bit odd, being that it contains a dozen other hostels and a handful of bizarres and indian food stands. The room was great, very clean, but if I were to return to Hong Kong I would pay a little extra to stay on the HK side instead of in Kowloon. If the hostel were in Hong Kong, I would definitely stay there again! As far as being in Kowloon, its a good location right on Nathan road, and walking distance to both the port and Mongkok.

The room is quite small, but clean and have all necessary things like wifi, bath, tv. The location is so good, in the center of Kowloon near avenue of star, few steps to the amazing scene of skyline, near mrt station, ferry station where you can go to Macao, near Mongkok. The hostel is in a crowded mansion, the lift is too small and take times to go up/down. Sometime I need to wait for 15 mins.

I feel that the apple hostel has done a good job keeping with the basic amenities where travelers need such as clean towels, clean toilet, clean bedsheet and environment in the room. nothing more to ask for us our stay there was really a pleasant one that we grown alittle attached to the room! well done.

Hostel is good but the building is crowded with too many people and smelly. The lift too small and always fully caused passengers always waste the time to wait next lift. If i will go Hong Kong again, i will not choose to stay at hostel anymore.
