Entrance of Chungking mansion is always a drama! Slow elevator! Smelly place! With the price I paid for my room I consider just about right! Very tinny space but I can sleep and took a good hot shower!

Overall is suitable if looking for place to rest. And the location is easily to be found. But the toilet is so tiny and it is a brand new experience.

The staff is really nice! Chungking Mansion is located next to the MTR, but if you just want to cross to Hongkong island, the ferry is also within 5-10 min walking distance and much cheaper. At the first sight, the mansion seems a bit creepy, but once you leave the ground floor up to the different parts where the hostels are situated, it feels like a safe place to stay.

hostel located in Chunking Mansion ( home of imigrants from Africa and India) which is not very famous among local people. Its near the metro station and Victoria harbour. perfect for short stays during which you spend whole day sightseeing, cause room was extremly small. Good value for the price and very friendly staff. There was no problem with leaving the luggage for the whole day.

Chung King Mansion is definitely a crazy place. But in a very amusing way, I found. Just say no to anybody wanting to sell you watches, sim-cards, tours, handbags... while you wait for the elevator. The rooms are the tiniest I have ever seen but you are not in Hongkong for the room, and I saw pictures of whole families living permantly in rooms like this in HK. Space is a scarce ressource in this city. They a impecable clean though and the staff is super friendly!

We had a comfortable stay at Apple Hostel for 5 days. All the staff are so accommodating and approachable. The room including the bathroom are clean. A free use of refrigerator and microwave were availed. Suggestion for improvement, there should be a toilet bidet for easy washing. Overall, the hostel is great and if given the chance to go back in Hongkong, I will use Apple Hostel again. Our family will also recommend Apple Hostel to our friends and other members of the family.

I had the single with a bathroom, small room but its HK, and most importantly very clean. the building itself felt sketchy initially but theres security there and overall i never felt unsafe even though some guys were trying to get me to book a different guesthouse in the building. just ignore them politely and no worries. the hostel staff was very friendly and nice. Excellent location. dont expect meeting other people this is more of a place to sleep but its worthb the money.

I had a really good stay at the Apple Hostel. I wasn't expecting much after what I'd read about the Chungking Mansions, but was pleasantly surprised when the staff showed me the room. It was clean and cool despite the hot and humid weather. The room was cleaned and we got new towels every day. I will absolutely stay there again thanks to the very kind staff.

I thought the staff was very nice and professional. Everyday sheets were changed, new towel provided. The room is spotless and kept that way. I stayed in a single room that was very small, but that's the norm. I was able to extend my stay and stay in the same room, which I requested just two days before i originally was supposed to check out. I don't know enough to judge how the price compares with other hostels, but I was pleased with the conditions of the stay for 6 days.

The hostel was right in the centre really close to my daily destination so in this way it was perfectly convenient. On the other hand the room was like a capsule, dark with no natural light. However it was very clean and quiet.

if you two, I highly recommend to take a twin room, not double room, because you get not too much big bed, espessiolly for earopen people. room is very clean and you can use microwave, ketle. staff is very good, location is too very good.

Very nice staff, facilities are fine, worth for the price. Location is near the tube and bus station just down from the hostel. But if you want to meet some new friends there, it should be a little bit hard cuz there is no living room there. :)

My husband and I loved the place. It was definitely worth every penny. Mr. Chow was very helpful and the staff were mostly Filipinos which made it very easy to communicate. The place is very near the Avenue of the Stars, the ferry for Macau and the subway which would easily take you to Disney, Ocean Park, Ngong Ping or where ever you would want to go. We would definitely stay there the next time we visit.

Great central location in TST, close to everything you want to do. Staff are helpful and very funny. Linens changed daily, room very clean. Small rooms, but expected in HK. Would stay again!

The room was not as good as I have expected but kept very clean and tidy, so did the general area. The staff was very passionate and helpful. Bathroom and toilet were hoped to be separate since the space is very small.
