Nice clean hostel, room was tiny as always in HK but with everything you need and cleaned every day so no complaints. Stuff is very very nice and welcoming, trying to help as much as possible when you ask them something. The only problem I had was with the noise because my room was right next to the entrance so there was a lot of noise in the morning from people going in and out. Internet connection was somethimes very slow. Apart from that very recommended!

Due to the location of this hostel, my first impression of Hong Kong was getting bombarded to stay in different hostels by scammers, Apple hostel had warned me of this however. The room was small, but big enough. The private bathroom was nice but there was no separate shower area so my bathroom remained soaked. There were black hairs all over my room. It was light at night. However, the staff was helpful and the location (extremely close to tsim sha tsui promenade) was perfect.

This place is great value for what you get: and what you get is a tiny but clean and completely secure and well-equipped room to yourself, right in the middle of Kowloon. If you want luxury then you're gonna have to pay for it elsewhere - but if you just want somewhere to crash then this is great. It's not really a hostel, it's a micro-hotel.

The staff at this hostel are so friendly, kind and accommodating. It was very clean, especially for what I was expecting given what I had heard about the horrors of Chungking Mansions. Was a bit on the pricey side, especially since the others in the building were much cheaper but you get what you pay for: a nice, clean room with a safe, kind staff.

Apple Hostel is such a cheap and comfortable place to stay. Close to everything and with such great and friendly staff. Always my choice when I stay in Hong Kong.

The staff were absolutely fantastic. Some of the nicest people I've ever met in my life. I also understand the restrictions in ability for character due to the limited space. Additionally, my room was clean every day and I was very comfortable in my bedroom. However, there was one time that I noticed one of the staff folding towels on her bare legs, which I didn't think was very hygienic. Also, during my stay, I found 3 live cockroaches in my room which was a little unnerving.

Owners made sure to reassure me that they had been in business for many years and built up a reputation on guests' personal belongings remaining safe, and guests feeling safe. Wifi was a bit slow, but I'm not complaining: At least I had Wifi! There was air conditioning and a fan in the room, and clean linen and a fresh towel each day. Keep your wits about you in the lobby of the building. The hostel is pretty safe, but there's a LOT of people from all over the world in that building.

The service was excellent and there was no major problems with the hostel. I think it is not the best you could get for the price though.

Good place to stay in HK. Would send others there. Would stay again. Staff very helpful as persuaded us to take the bus to China and not the train to save 30% of cost. Do not be put off by the Chungking Mansions as the strange people in the lobby are not dangerous. Think of the movie Blade Runner. Good security. Next to subway line.

the staff were really nice, they cleaned the room every day and changed the sheets and always had smiles for us. the rooms are, as all the hostel's in hong kong seem to be, small (basically a bed) and the shared bathroom is a bit run down. if you're a germ a phobe, i wouldn't recommend it. oh and the elevator is a nightmare, but it's not the hostel's fault, it's kinda just hong kong. the hostel is right in the middle of everything in kowloon, it's a great location to be.

Compare with other hostels around here. This seems to be one of the most pleasant one. The service is nice. They even have a microwave, fridge, washing machine and drying machine for free to use. The price of the place is a bit higher than some places in the same building, but it's worth it!

Maybe the strangest place I have ever been. I haven't been asked for copy-watches, bags, tailors and hostels in two weeks that often before. But I never felt unsafe in Chungking mansion. So it is okay to stay.

Probably the best place you can stay in Chungking Mansions. Lovely staff. Small - like everywhere in the building - basic and most importantly clean - not like everywhere in the building! Good for a night or two. Would stay again.

I was definitely pleased with the hostel itself. The staff were extremely friendly and the room a lot more than I expected. The only comment I would have was the building the hostel was in, was fairly intimidating to a single traveler. If you can look past that, I would always stay here!

Chung King Mansions is rather notorious, however Apple Hostel was great. It's close to the subway and only 1/2 stops away from the island line transfer stops Admiralty and Central. The staff were very friendly and provided fresh towels every day. The rooms are compact, but the amenities were good for the price, especially the free wifi.
