Like most Hong Kong hostels, it's a tight fit, but clean and the staff was friendly. Getting through the building is a bit scary-looking and elevators are limited with long waits.

My a backpacker, so i enjoyed seeing a friendly face (which they have at apple hostel), but it isn't much space. You pretty much done get that in HK so don't expect anything else.

I was only there briefly when passing through HK in transit. Raymond the manager was helpful with transport info and any help needed. The room was compact but very clean and felt very safe with an external and internal door. It was quiet and comfortable, all in a ll one of the better places I have stayed in Chung King mansions (I've stayed in a lot!). Thanks very much!

OK, its only 25€ per night. Right in the centre of Kowloon. I stayed there for 9 nights. The rooms are tiny, the AC is way too loud and there are cockroaches every day, though the place is clean. But the other floors in the building arent. I would spend a few € more next time and see if I\'d get something better.

Overall the characteristics of the place are great for someone who needs a place to crash for the night. The staff is friendly, cheery and attentive. The room was clean, though I did spot a small wall crawler in the room. Some may be put off or intimidated by the action taking place on the ground floor but it's part of the entertainment. Having stayed in Chungking Mansions several times, I've never encountered danger so the hype might be exaggerated. The value for the area is great.

Chungking mansions seems given over to low cost hostels, some of which are dire. Apple hostel isn't. I rented a single en-suite room in Apple hostel, it was clean and everything worked. If all you want is somewhere to sleep, then this is pretty much as good as rooms double the price. The staff were helpful too.
