Highly recommended! The staff (Ksenia especially) is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a 6 bedded room which was overlooking Nevski - GREAT! (but a bit noise if you keep window open). It's clean and the furniture is quite modern.
The only things is bathrooms - they are tiny. So tiny that you can hardly get undressed inside them.

Not so friendly personnel, but good English speakers! No tourist info provided when asked, not even a city map, "I don't mind attitude"! The showers are very tight! U don't have enough place to undress, unless u enter properly in the shower cabin. The mattress is too thin & not so comfy... And last but not least, u might find yourself booking one single room and when u get there to have the surprise of receiving 6 bed room type because of "double bookings", they said! Free international calls are great! The location is prefect, on the main street. Not much of a party hostel but nice clean rooms and bathrooms but you have to be a controtioust to get dressed in the shower! 5 flights of stairs to go up keeps you fit too! The location it is good, it is placed in the main avenue although it takes you about 30 minutes walking to make it to the hermitage for example. The room we got, a double, was extremely small, as well as the showers and the toilets and when i say small i really mean it. It was clean though. We had our own appartment, very nice, very clean. But an awful bed!! Matress tickness like 5 cm. Really to heard, especially for 5 nights. And no cooking facilities in the kitchen, only a microwave.
