I love this hotel. The staff here are so keen to assist and make sure your happy with everything. The rooms are immaculate, great air con, they somehow arranged my visa for Vietnam on a sunday! Dont bother getting it in the UK, its a fraction of the cost in Cambodia, and you dont need the 2 photos for it.

We really enjoyed staying at the Aqua Boutique Hotel and knew we were in good hands from the friendly greeting on arrival and welcome glass of juice to the personal service throughout our stay. Breakfast each morning was great, always served with smiles and the general feeling thoughout the staff was one of really caring to make sure we as guests were happy, which is a rare quality in hotels these days. The manager even arranged personal access to the rooftop for us for great views of the city!

Loved the room, very well decorated and charming. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly. Very happy to have the Vietnamese Visa sorted so quickly. Things I am disappointed with was the room being a twin rather than a double bed as requested. The other issue was the bus ticket to Siam Reap, I had to ask 3 times and I wasn't able to catch the bus I wanted as it was booked out. I also would have preferred a better bus, a VIP service rather than the Sorya company.

Dear, First, we would like to express our profound thanks with gratitude for staying with us and spend your valued time to post your review. We really sorry and regret to hear that you had disappointed with the below issues: 1. The room being a twin rather than a double bed as requested. 2. We were unable to book 2 bus tickets as your desired time. 3. You would have preferred a better bus, a VIP service rather than the Sorya company. As per the above complaint, we would like to have our explains as below: Issue No. 1: Please be noted that we were not received any requests for a double bed (referred to your confirmed booking Ref. No 44142-246112058 made on 6th February 2012 and our four corresponded messages which requested for an airport pick-up and Vietnam Visa). Addition, you had acknowledged with your disclosed booking during your check-in time and having a fully booked during your stay too. If we were not confused, our receptionist had promised to change you to a double bed on the second night but you were not desired as you had enjoyed to sleep in our assigned room. Issue No. 2: Please be acknowledged that we were trying the best to book two bus ticket (PNH-REP) with your desired time during your explored the city but seats were fully booked. And, our receptionist had suggested you to depart from Phnom Penh on 24th February 2012 at 13h00 instead when you returned from your visits. Regarding to our oral survey, we found that the most of our valued guests preferred to travel with Phnom Penh Sorya Bus rather than a VIP Service bu. Eventually, most of foreigner tourists has experienced with an overcharge of bus ticket which they had bought from ticket agents we, thus, decided to sell their tickets. Being an official ticket agent, we agreed to avoid a mark-up price or hide charges beside obtaining a small commission which only cover the administrative cost likes telephone charge. Even though, we partner with Phnom Penh Sorya Bus but we also be able to sell tickets of other bus companies as per our guests desired. Our property aimed to facilitate and make an ease to our guest on travel arrangement so services are available at our front desk 24/7. Whatever we have explain with the above reasons, we, however, are apologized for any inconvenience caused which might occurred during your accommodate with us. Once, thanks for taking your valued time you might have to place your review and kind helping us to improve our service quality. Our devoted team will guarantee to deliver you a restful comfortable stay for your next visit in Phnom Penh. Best regards, Lina THAV Hotel Manager

Excellent. But, I think a hostel should not be this expensive in a cheap country.

Super friendly hard workintg owner who goes out of his way to help you find your way around Phnom Penh! Beautiful clean rooms for relaxing after a busy day in the city and the rooms have a great view! Watch the sunset from the balcony! Will definitely come back here when I revisit the amazing country of Cambodia!

Breakfast is awesome. Staff exceptionally pleasant ( sometimes a little overwhelming but polite, great english and very helpful). Our only compalint was that our room was too big for the air conditioner to operate efficiently. It took ages to cool down and although not hot, it was never cool enough to sleep with the covers on. Maybe a fan to generate air flow would be of benefit.

Nice place, more like a small hotel than a guesthouse. Lovely room, very comfortable bed. Only problem we had was with the very strong smell of sewerage coming from the bathroom. We got the smell in the lobby too, so we think it has something to do with their renovation works (which weren't noisy). Great breakfast if you're up before 10. Staff are friendly and attentive. Bit far from places of interest & social scene, tuk tuk required. If we returned to Phnom Penh, I'd be happy to stay again.

First, we would like to express our profound thanks with gratitude for staying with us on January 2012. Second, we are apologized for any inconvenience caused that may occurred during your stay. Of course, we are solely accepted for your review about the very strong smell of sewerage coming from the bathroom and lobby area. It's happen because of the renovation and drainage removal works. However, we have completely done well since end of January 2012. Till now, our modern conservative entrance has been done with the leafy and natural environment concepts likes growing more green plants, frangipani flower, making an elite waterfall with Khmer sculpture and artisan attached on the south wall of our entrance. AQUA BOUTIQUE GUESTHOUSE with excellent service, facilities, and amenities is opening its warmth hands of Khmer hospitality to serve our guests with constant attention and deliver guests the most persistent pleasant and memorable stay. Our devoted team is ready to deliver valued and frequent guests and customers with benefits and privileges and assures you genuine care that fulfills your need with an enhanced level of warm services by our well trained outfit for your next visit in Phnom Penh. Kind regards, Lina THAV Mr. Hotel Manger

In 7 months of backpacking it was the best breakfast yet, with proper bacon and perfectly cooked eggs. The owner is very attentive and keen to help you make the most of your visit. We needed a visa for Vietnam and had left it really late, however they managed to turn one around in 3 hrs for $58! Quite pricy but we shopped around and for the same price it would have taken a local travel agent 24hrs.

Thanks for such a lovely start to our Cambodian adventure. The staff were so helpful and able to sort out tuk tuks, recommend a place for a well earned massage after the atrocities we had seen at S21 and the Killing Fields and amazing deluxe room with so much space in comparison to where we have stayed since. We're very sorry but we were not able to come back on our way from Siem Reap. Thank you lots!

It's quite difficult to explain because there is a big bandwith between the single aspects, therefore just some notes: Big but charmeless entrance hall, Really huge, nice decorated and clean room. Bathroom ok, but you have to deal with ants. Great breakfast. If you have no problem that the manager could offer you straight after arrival "if you wanna have massage or bum bum in your room, just let me know" then think about it. 15min walk to royal palace. Not really central but not too far away.
