Our stay at Arabian Nights was truely excellent from start to finish. I really could not fault any part of the experience. The staff especially were friendly and extremely helpful with all the questions we had regarding the local area and Cairo in general as well as helping us practise our rusty Arabic. The bathroom facities were also very good with a powerful shower and we both looked forward to our included breakfast every morning. I would recommend the hostel to anyone coming to Cairo.

I wasn't sure what to expect when we got there, but the rooms, although basic, were clean and the staff were friendly and the location was awesome! Definitely a good choice if you're looking for a place to stay that is close to everything without wanting to spend too much money.

prices were good. This was not just a hostel, it was a home away from home. I could not have been looked after better. I couldn't recommend it more highly. A little out of the center"15 Min" but it is OK . Exceptional value.

The place is decent and well located. Staff is nice and trustworthy. Though, stay away from their tour operator, managed by this guy called Mohammed. He seems nice but tried to cheat us of money for the smallest of things. And quotes Really high for the tours. You are better off planning yourself.

The hotel is clean and friendly. The staff always recommended me where to eat the best (and safest) food. This is an area of astounding historical importance with ancient murals from the Fatimid and ‘Abbasid dynasties and intertwining market streets like El-Moez al Din Allah al-Fatimi near the Khan el Khalili market. The tenants as a whole were a great mix: students from abroad like me, adventurous backpackers looking for a local experience and even Arabs from the ME.

I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The area is full of culture, I feel like I experienced so much more than if I had stayed in Downtown Cairo. There are so many fascinating places to visit near the hotel. The hotel itself looks brand new. My room had tile floors and was very clean. The colors were bright and cheerful, it was nice to return to it every night. They have a large welcoming common room downstairs. It was easy to spend hours there chilling out and chatting with other guests.

Receptionist was very friendly, service was very good, the staff makes all its possible to help! Hotel is also very close to the bazar zone, hotel drivers are very kind and helpful. One point: it must be better known by the taxi drivers, they have a lot of difficulties to find the hotel. Advertising to the taxi drivers based at the airport and at the train station would be useful... Internet by WIFI is working fine.

Avoid. It's the only hotel that refused to refund a cancelled night, despite telling them the day before. They also tried to charge me 130 for the room, not the 75 booked through HostelWorld, and pay for the 'free' airport picked up. Beware of shared bathrooms - either being refurbished, don't lock, don't flush or flood. However, the free cups of tea were very welcome.
